I wonder if a character can get both rivalry romance and a friendship romance. And, there's a character that can only be romanced in the rivalry path, no? That's... confusing. If I want to romance Varric and can only do that in the rivalry path, but I don't know this and raise him until friendship, I can never romance him.

I could get behind this. I actually did find the Jack romance rather rewarding despite the fact that I started it accidently.

I'm leaning toward 'not Anders' though anything is possible. And yeah, he's anything but shy. As for Fenris, I could see a romance arc where you have to sort of work to bring him out of his shell and open up his heart to the possibility of love as being rewarding.

I can see the climax of the possible Fenris romance (from any gender) not actually being the 'sex scene' but rather the first time he lets you touch him, even like hold his hand, considering how averse he is to being touched in any fashion. That would melt my heart so quickly. /fan-boy squeee mode

Is it just me ... or I dont really care who i get to romance ... my eyes will be FIXED on male hawk? i mean jesus hes hot.



For the actual LI though ... as superficial as i really am, It all depends on the personality of the character. I really didnt find zevran sexy but his little accent and his quick dirty sexy jokes just made it happen. Same thing could happen with Varric i think. Anders, well i already love anders so IF he is a character and m/m LI, the others dont stand a chance. Im so excited to see who they arreeee!!! biowareee huuurrryyyyyyy!!!!

damnit, actually, if you put it that way. that would be good to. xD I like my rivalry romances, but sweets ones are great as well. I just don't want him turning all shy and shifting and saying he likes...my hair. >_>

And then, of course - the writers being who they are - everyone dies.

This is why I'm trying not to get attached to any possible LIs, because as soon as I do the writers will break my heart and grind it into dust.

This is definitely what I would want from Fenris, if it's going to be him.  Actually, this seems rather likely to me, considering.

My take: Varric is unlikely due to his role as the narrator.  At first I was okay with this, but now the idea of a Varric M/M LI is growing on me.  Sebastian is DLC, but could definitely be a "bonus" romance--I trust the DA team to cover all their romance bases in the vanilla game.  If "Anders" is Anders...as much as I would love the chance, I'm just not feeling it given his dialogue in Awakening.  Certainly it could be a cover-up for bisexuality, but I'm doubtful.  Alas.

My MShep pines for Kaidan and Thane (and has his eye on several NPCs), and I don't like the look of the modifications he's thinking of making to Legion. O_O;;
