I'm hoping all romances can be pursued as either friendly or rivalry. The first I've heard of rivalry only romances was today and I hope it's just a rumor, because I'm the sort of person who'd play the game twice just to see how they are different.

I would too! But anyway, I think it is just a rumour that kinda snowballed until it became "fact" (I always love the the etymology of fact is the Latin verb "to make").

on the subject of Hawke, I just want to know...how ME did they go? Is it going to be like with Shep, where if you wanted to alter his appearance a little, you had to create a completely custom face instead of just tweak the pre-programmed one? Cause I could never get a decent face when I wanted to make changes.

I would like to not have that problem in DA2, please. Let us either use a scratch face or be allowed to make small changes to the default.

I deslike Carver's new face. I liked him more when he was derpy and adorable. I don't deslike InGame!Garrett, but I do like Trailer!Garrett more.

I'm not holding out any hope at this point. My poor Shep is doomed to be single and pining for Kaidan for the rest of his life with being the savior of the galaxy as cold comfort.

Noooo...! I refuse to give up hope. I have a manShep who hasn't romanced anyone over the course of both games, in hopes that he'll finally meet his prince in the third installment...!
............but, yeah, at the end of his lonely days, at least he'll have his military career.

That's no problem there. I loved DAO's creator. I was able to make alterations to the presets to match my taste. ME's just always seemed somehow deformed or off, specially in the game itself. So if its DAO's creation system still, then I'm happy.

See, I still find him adorable, if not as derpy.  His baby blues are coming across better.

Then again, we've only seen what, < 10 seconds of him?  At least where his face is clearly observable?  In Origins it often depended on the angle/lighting if someone looked awkward or not.

I just had the weirdest image... Not of romancing Carver, but of romancing a man that Carver's interested in. This image is weird but pleasing for the following reasons:

1) Gay Carver. (want)
2) Stealing Gay Carver's boyfriend as his older sister.
3) Stealing Gay Carver's boyfriend as his older brother.
4) Profit.

And I wish in-game varric looked anything like Aimo's version. He's ridiculously hot when she draws him but the screens so far he's just really not that attractive.

The ME faces all looked like they'd been whacked with a frying pan, though HopHazzard is right that DA:O was way better. Hopefully DA2 combines the best of DA:O's and ME's creator. Though DA:O did suffer from cursed cheekbone syndrome in the side shots.

I don't want they to combine DA:O's and ME's creator, DA;O's creator is better in every shape or form, it's even easier to use. The only good thing I can think in ME's creator is the code-thingie, and I'm amost sure they confirmed it was out. Granted, a person I know made a totally hot Shepard.

oh...the reminder. >< Luckily, I had the right hairstyle to avoid most sightings of the cheekbones. xD But I do agree, I don't want ME's creator even touching DA's creator. ><

Yeah, I always end up spending hours on the damn face. I think min: cheek width + max: cheek fullness tends to help with that?



And still, I get to a random cutscene and my Warden's eyes are all screwy because he's squinting but he already has small eyes and now the eyelids are clipping! If it's not one thing, it's the other...

What I mean about combining the two is that, in DA:O you had better 'templates' for faces and better face options in general but in ME, the actual rendering of those options into the game was better and more realistic. They do need to go Fallout style for eye colour if they refuse to improve the lighting though.
