Considering the amount of development they got in those games to the amount they're likely to get in DA2 and you can pretty much consider them new characters.  I mean, their roles in DAO and Awakening can pretty much be summarized in codex entries.

Given the choice between a new character, and an old character who will work really well with the story, I'll take the old one. Returning characters are cool. It's continuity, familiar faces, fun...ness... it's good times.

I'm not saying that, I'm just saying seeing that they took advantage of fans by bringing in cameos from the old game and saying, now you can romance them...that's all. It just urks me...but only just a little. And I wondered if anyone else felt a little urked at this shortcut method of coming up with party members, so to call it. But obviously I'm alone in this observation. So please just drop it, already.

I wasn't commenting on anything you had said. I just wanted MorningBird to know that I wouldn't shoot her, and beyong that, I was just saying that I like returning characters. Nothing was meant as an argument against anything you had said

@ MorningBird and IndelibleJester - It's fine. xD I'm just irritated from having to explain what I mean for the third or fourth time. I mention Fenris is the only non-cameo, and people yap at me about personality or looks. Like they didn't bother to read the rest of my post talking about a cameo and nothing about that. xD It's ok, sorry for sounding irritated. Let's just drop it, since I'm alone in this.

@ishmaeltheforsaken - you could do no wrong. my comment was more directed at mostly all the people who keep lecturing me about similar personality when I was just talking about actual cameo characters. xD I mean...I love cameo's to. But I also enjoy the effort made to create new characters as well.

Anyways, I really hope HOPE someone will leak information soon. If not, I will have to delve through the game in a rush just to find out. And since I will be getting the game 16 hours earlier (im not located in canada/US) , I might be able to sneak in a few screenshots

Yes. The devs haven't said anything about which in particular will be s/s, but the evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of all four LIs being open to romance with either gender.
