Yeah... I'm kinda hoping maybe we can hook Carver up too (not with yourself for obvious reasons, but another guy would be cool!)

I would love to see background romances among members of the party, with or without Hawke's meddling, though this is such a tertiary feature I would be surprised if any of them were queer. Then again, I guess DA:O did hint in that direction, with the way Leliana hit on Morrigan.

Oo, that'd be fun. And it could incorporate the friendship/rivalry system - if you're friends with one member (obviously a friendship only option, since a rival likely wouldn't come to Hawke asking for romance advice), you can suggest that they 'get close' to another member of the party, probably just a romance option you didn't select, and if you're friends with THAT member, they'll hook up while if you're rivals with them, they reject them.
I don't expect it to happen, but if it does, I enjoy the idea of hooking up Carver with the guy I don't romance. Hell, even though I'm leaning more towards Anders right now, it would be tempting to pair them up.

In the official romance thread, they've outlined the four; Varric and Aveline are not among them.

That's a clever idea for implementation. I would spend so much time meddling in the personal affairs of the party if DAII offered a system like this.

I've tried making my own Hawke, but I'd like to keep the default M!Hawke's hair. So I cannot really do whatever I wanted to.  Ah well, I'm glad we get to see how it's made already. And it's clearly great.

Talking about Varric... I really wished he was a LI, I wanted to romance him with a F!Hawke.  hopefully in DA3... but back in topic! Indeed, romances that take place between your party members would be very lovely. Well, as long as it doesn't involve you own LI... or maybe, it could bring clash and lot of hell fun.

Yay! Someone finally understood what I meant, and shares that same little streak of irksome! Yeah, I'm the same. I'm a little annoyed at all the character recycling, but only very little. I can let it slide since they gave the characters some decent background and story. (at least I hope) It is weird, however, playing DAO and looking at that ver of Isabela.

Sebastian IS a romance interest, but you cannot consummate the relationship. He remains chaste. No idea whether he likes men and women though.

Yeah, I just read that. Haven't checked out the info in the sample-guide yet, though. Still - typical. Or perhaps one should consider it a new kind of interesting twist, I don't know... (though I get serious Bella - Edward vibes and I do not much care for 'Twilight').

As I said, it's in the romance thread. Someone posted a link to a review, that says he's an LI, and while you can romance him, it won't lead to sex. So there you go.

No, because in the preview pages for Piggyback's guide, it states flat-out that he is an LI, but you cannot have sex with him.

Someone just said it was confirmed in some sort of game guide in the Exiled Prince thread, haven't been able to verify it myself yet though.

Yes, but we already know we can flirt with Aveline and it will lead nowhere. Could be talking about that, yes? Perhaps we can flirt with Varric too. And others we meet throughout the game (like our returning cameos, for example).

I don't think we should take this as any kind of indication that, for example, you can flirt with Fenris but it will go nowhere.

I hope so. But my mind unfortunately went directly to that unconfirmed reciprocated flirt with Fenris from that magazine.
