oh man, that sucked so bad. xD I got to the landsmeet and after beating logain, realized I hadn't loaded the mod that lets my male elf mage rule alongside Alistair. xD Had to quit the game, load the mod, then re-kick Loghain's tooshie. xD its all good now.

You know, with as many people asking to be pm'd, maybe Luka should just post the spoiler in this thread greyed out so it matches with the background of the post. So only people who want to know will highlight and read. =P

Heh. That's funny. In trying to avoid being anachronistic, they've actually done the opposite. Not that you can blame 'em much... the history of homosexuality is one of those things that historians just love to bury.

In case that isn't clear... throughout European history there have been times when same-sex marriages (at least between men (sorry ladies!)) were recognized and given full legal recognition, same as straight marriages. Heck, at one point, before marriage ceremonies were taking place in churches and only receiving a priest's "blessing" on the steps of the church, the church would bless same-sex unions the same as any straight one.

So yeah. In an attempt to avoid anachronism, they've made the mistake of catering to people's perceptions of a thing in favor of the thing itself.

lol. And if they're all BI, I shall forgive and forget and give Anders a chance. Note...a chance. I've been swayed before by wonderful writing and properly delivered dialogue. But if they're not all bi, I will vehemently boycott the Anders m/m pairing for at least three months...then look for mods and after this...forgive and forget.

M/M pairings huh?
I'm pushing for Hawke/Fenris, Sebastien/Fenris, Anders/Fenris, Hawke/Anders/Fenris, Varric run male harem staring Hawke, Anders/Sir Pounce-a-Lot..........<_

(Regarding coloring spoiler text: the color you want is the top right one in the color box.  Took me a while to figure that out earlier.   Also apparently the color tags hate parentheses and maybe brackets...)


Pairings!  My first run-through will be my inevitable dark-haired, blue-eyed rogue, and he'll hopefully pursue Fenris.  I plan to chase Anders using an import based on my Amell -- so his cousin Hawke will have a chance to do what he didn't in Awakenings.


@EscherEnigma, woooow!   Awesome, but yes, apparently not a well-known fact!  I wonder when the anti- sentiment settled in...

I know in the United States, some Native American tribes consider same sex relationships legal marriages (when performed on tribal land). It's not recognized widely, though. There might be an analogue with the Dalish or dwarves; there's a ceremony they honor no one else even understands.

I can't decide for my first pairing. It's making me a bit antsy, to be honest.

While I'll be playing a male mage Hawke, I do have my eye on Fenris, but perhaps Anders will be easier. Or perhaps they can both revel in their blood magic and make their enemies' blood boil as they mush each others' face together (I love parallels).

Its been on and off throughout history. I think at one point in Feudal Japan, relationships with men were more honorable then with women. It was similar as well back in either Rome or Greece...can't remember which...

I'm going to make a sexy mHawke with that swagger. I'm still in love with one of the custom mHawke's I saw. xD
