Off topic: I just posted the news to the Fight for the Love thread.

For those who follow the s/s debate for Mass Effect, feel free to go along there and show your support. We need it, there are so few of us posting there these days. We need to make sure the ME team knows we want this in our games, that it has been joyously received in DA2, and that this 'pre-defined' nonsense holds no water now (not that it ever did).

Please, show your support. We need AUFGESTOCKT in space, too.

Yeah, adding choice in their game for people to be able to pursue same sex romances is probably the most homophobic thing EVER.

I did wonder how a plain friend could really cause Anders to go berserk. Of course it is silly to say so, and he was in an unstable state to begin with. But in general it seems a bit unusual for there to be such a dramatic response to the woes of friends in any storyline out there. It is lovers who cause protagonists to shut down. Or maybe I have read and watched too many similar stories.

So, anyone ready yet to start complaining about how Anders has an ex?

For me, it'd be more strange if someone hadn't had an ex (although I suspect we may get this with Fenris and Merrill).

It's actually incredibly nice to hear that Anders will talk about his past relationship with a man. It validates that part of his sexuality (and nicely avoids the 'Zevran-problem', as I like to call it - not that I really had a problem with him talking about women in general anyway ... just that he had to keep mentioning it all the time).

Yeah, and his ex looked really creepy. But I'm glad his ex was a man, it makes it more believable than saying he turned gay because Justice possessed him. It's wierd though, he never said anything about liking guys, I guess Oghren was spot on with the templar big sword thing.

I'm just saying, Anders's ex looks a lot like default m!Hawke to me, just older. Anders might just have a type.
