I was going to play lady hawke and romance the ladehs, but now I might play m!Hawke for Anders.

My decision will be complete when I finish Awakenings. I will be starting it for the first time later today.

I am literally going to play through from the beginning of the mage tower (no other major quests done yet) all the way to the end of Witch Hunt today. I swear this. I will have an import ready by Saturday morning (I'm leaving town until Tuesday.)

Pre-loading happens with digital versions of DA2 and is installing the game so it is ready to play once the unlock time arrives. Pre-loading is not available from all retailers. Check with your retailer to see if they offer pre-loading. You have also been asking when the game will unlock so you can start playing, which applies to digital and retail PC copies. These pertain to PC versions and not to console versions of Dragon Age 2.

I'm thinking it might just be in there if you play male ...

I'm wondering about that, myself. I wouldn't mind it half so much as a tragically dead wife, but honestly, I think I'd prefer him to remain a dude in every game for a number of reasons.

I do. If he's going to break his vow, he's going to do it for an heir. If Aveline's a stealth LI of the same ilk, I'd expect her to be straight (which would be a nice twist for somebody of her build), but neither of them would exactly be standard options, as you probably have to pursue them for 10 years and then not get a love scene, just an epilogue or something. So all the "real" options (those you can live with and get steamy with) will all be bi regardless of what happens with Sebastian and Aveline.

Remember all those Kirkwall references in Awakening? It's hardly implausible. In fact, it could even be argued that it's downright obvious in retrospect that they had Anders in mind as a character of ambiguous sexuality.

Man, today is awesome. I get my copy of Pokemon White early, find out that I can romance Sebastian in some capacity and now we know all the LIs are bisexual!

I'm going to have my first Lady Hawke romance Sebastian; he's the one I wanted most and I don't mind if it's a celibate relationship as long as I can listen to that sexy accent <3. After that, my male Hawke will actually have a choice about who to romance. I'm leaning toward Anders so I can have Fenris with my female mage, but I could change my mind.

I think I'm going to have a future Lady Hawke go for Merrill, too. Hooray for BioWare! AUFGESTOCKT!

I have never been so happy to be proven wrong before. This is really great news, and I'm super excited that everyone (well except for Varric fans; sorry guys!) gets the LI of their choice. Options are always grand. And now I shall be steering clear of the forums for the next few days to avoid spoiling anything else for me (this was the only piece of news I cared to known pre-release, and unfortunately waiting for it led to the discovery of some other minor spoilers; I'm quitting while ahead).

Wow, if this is true then it's absolutely disgusting.. Bioware really scraped the bottom of the barrel with this one; or perhaps I should be more specific by stating the DA2 team did. The Mass Effect team would never entertain such a ridiculous notion as this.

Not only does it break immersion completely by having all perspective LIs be bisexual (LGBT comprise about 3 or 4% of the population), but it cheapens all the romances, and the characters themselves by making them conform to the expectations and the desires of the PC.

The LIs exist only so that the PC can get his/her rocks off. They have no desires outside of what the PC enforces on them.

For a developer that has always prided itself on it's ability to create fleshed out, realistic characters, this is a disturbing turn of events.

No wonder Brent left Bioware..
