If I remember right, in DA:O, in the Zevran love scene, he's kind of obviously on the bottom so to speak. When I modded to gay Alistair, since it was supposed to be m/f scene, he's kind of on top.
Will both Fenris and Anders be bottomy like Zev in DA:O, or will they be different from each other? This would kind of influence my pick as well, my Hawke's a top lolol.

I actually didn't want to get involved in all this, but your comment really bothers me. I'm a bisexual woman. I've met wonderful women and fell in love with some of them. Then I met the sweetest guy in the world and will marry him. Does that make me cheap? Because I can fall for a person regardless of their gender? No, it just makes me a bisexual woman.
No, being bisexual isn't cheap. If thats who you are, then thats who you are.
Whats cheap is Bioware making ALL LIs bisexual, because it is contrived and unrealistic.
But if it's contextual, then there's no problem.

The way I hear it it's going to be all fade-to-black now, so we probably won't see much of who's who either way before it does. (Which is all good by me.)

Furtheremore, do you see how petty this is? Why would you want them to be straight anyway, other than "realism". If you think that Bioware is pandering to the people who want to "get their rocks off" as you've so eloquently put it, then don't you see how Bioware is pandering to people like you who want everything their way.
I only wanted them to be straight, because Bioware was providing the bisexual option to LGBT customers.
If Bioware can cater to a small minority of gamers, why not cater to people like me as well that would prefer to not have any sort of homosexual content?
This is unprecedented in Bioware's history in case you've forgotten, so it's not as though this philosophy has always been part of their ethic.
Anyway, from what I've been reading, it seems it won't be much of an issue as long as it's contextually driven.
For the next Bioware game, they'll allow you to wear these cool white cone-hats. Your mission to to hunt down anyone with any form of "difference", hanging them on lower-case "t's", burning them to purify them of the darkspawn taint. That will cater to some minorities.

disappointing....Why even bother choosing a gender now other than to hear a different voice.
Oh well once the game is released i shall start my lobbying for 1 Straight 1 Bi and 1 gay LI per gender in future bioware games,I will be mad as hell though if i have to go through getting hit on by every LI again like zevran.
When did Zevran ever hit on you as a male if you didn't want him to? From what I recall he only hits on you (actually not even that, he admits he fancies you) after you ask him, "So what is it you fancy?" when he says something hinting about bisexuality. And even then he asks if that offends you and you can say "Yes" and it disables the romance I believe. He shouldn't hit on you any more after that.
If you hadn't known he was bi you would have never even seen it as coming on to you.
Or is complimenting/being polite now exclusive gay behaviour? Do straight guys never compliment each other in your world?

And with that in mind, now we know they're all bi, have you all decided who you're going to pursue first, with whom, and why?
I partially decided I'm going for Anders. I planned my Hawke early on January, when I decided I wanted Carver in my team. So my first playthough will be with a mage m!Hawke, Joram. Joram it's been always so attached to his little sister due the gift they share, and that fact made him forget a bit about Carver, making the relationship between them tense. But after loosing Bethany, Joram will realize of how much he cares about his brother and will feel honestly disappointed with himself for being so unfair to his little brother... then he will try to do his best to protect Carver and gain his trust. This is what I first planned, because as a fan of Supernatural, I wanted somehow to recreate a relationship like the Winchester bros. I want Joram to be the Dean to Carver's Sam : D (yes, I'm SO interested in Carver ^^).
This said, I decided to play him as bisexual, because as much as I want Anders, I don't want Joram to pick my choices, but his. So for him it will be Anders or Merrill, because the only thing I really know is that he'll be involved with a mage. Being a mage, an apostate, is not easy, and he deeply fights for his cause and freedom. I can't wait to see what is going to happen! x3

This.
Everyone now has exactly the same choice. If you play a straight Hawke, you have 2 LIs to choose from. If your Hawke is gay/lesbian your Hawke has 2 LIs to choose from. If your Hawke is bi ... oh wait ... heh, 4 LIs to choose from.
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY.

Well, you don't see that every day in real life that's for sure.
You don't exactly see dragons every day in real life either. Or magic or demons or people that can carry 200 items in a couple of backpacks. None of it is exactly realistic, it's a fantasy; that's the whole point.
That being said, I've been lurking and you have NO idea how happy this makes me. Or, well, I suppose a lot of you do. THANKS BIOWARE!

I have a mod where you can swap out whether Al will be top or bottom. It's nice to have that option (also runs the tent scenes whenever you choose that dialogue, rather than just once).
I don't really care how they end up doing it in the romance scenes (I doubt it'll get that far since it's fade to black stuff this time). My imagination can take care of the rest.
Haha I need to find that mod.
That would be funny of one of the guys in DA2 was like "you're just too angry, violent and macho, I need a gentle man"
Makes me think of I Love You Phillip Morris. "You are the kindest gentlest man I've ever met." lol

2 Straight Li
2 Bi LI
2 Gay Li
then everyone get's 3 LI and i think bi get 5?(didn't do the math). And your choice of gender still matters.

My first Hawke (still considering if I want to change the name, I usually decide at the character creation screen) will be a mage who has, due to being an apostate and how he would rather be able to live a life period, not just be locked away in the Circle like a criminal for the simple fact of existing (hey, does this sound familiar to anyone? Sorry, sorry, know I said I was ignoring the other stuff...), but Hawke has turned his back on the Chantry. By extension, he's pretty much become agnostic and doubts the existence of the Maker, particularly as he learns about the other races have their own ideas of deities - everyone can't be right, but what says the ones who have voiced an opinion that loud are right? What happens, exactly, if the Chant were to spread across the world and the Maker still didn't show his face, what then? Likewise, out of the apostate fact, he despises that mages are all rounded up and locked away, as if they're some dirty secret. The times that he left his staff at home and pretended to be an average person, he questioned the Chantry, asking essentially "If the Maker so despises mages and believes they need to be controlled by man, why does he keep gifting them with abilities at all?" He's also under the impression that the Circle creates more malficar than it prevents.
All of this is already in the back of his mind and then he sees what the Chantry has done to Karl. That's the straw - now, he wants to do something. To that point, he didn't know what Tranquil were or how it was done, and now that he does, he's pissed. He decides to become Anders' Jiminy Cricket and keep him from doing something stupid, but that's the point where he decides that the Chantry, or at least its leadership, has become fundamentally broken and something has to be done to stop the brutality. And due to their closeness, he and Anders will fall in love.

Retour en haut
