Because as a straight man, you have had your cake and eaten it too in video games for decades........... Can't I just enjoy this ONE single cake? Must you have EVERY single cake in the bakery? I'm just grateful to have just this one! :'(
On behalf of all the other non-homophobic straight males out there, I just want to say, "Congrats on your cake! Here's hoping that in the future, we remember there's plenty of cake to go around for everyone."

haha that's pretty epic. seeing that non-homophobic straight males exist makes me very happy.
I know I'm late to respond, but I had work.

Anyway, yes. We exist, we're just rarely very loud. Most people tend to be very loud about the things they hate, or the things they love. Everything else not so much. So unless someone is either homosexual or homophobic, it's unlikely you'll hear much out of them on the subject. But I have a ton of gay and lesbian friends, so I tend to be a bit more vocal on the subject than most.
Personally, I find it a unfortunate that games have been catering to the violent sociopath long before they were catering to the gay community. Even recent games, like DA:O, have TONS of opportunity for you to gleefully desecrate sacred relics, enslave free people, and slaughter innocents in bloody and savage detail, while presenting gays with only half as many romance options as straights.
