Is the first image the console version and the second the PC? Cause I have the console, and the first one looks more like the Anders I remember. How come he looks different, what happened there? DA2 Anders looks a lot closer to the second one to me, so maybe he wasn't completely redone, it just looks that way if you had the console version.

I'm pretty sure the second picture of Anders is the canon one. Notice how the second pic looks the same in this video.

Anyway, yes. We exist, we're just rarely very loud. Most people tend to be very loud about the things they hate, or the things they love. Everything else not so much. So unless someone is either homosexual or homophobic, it's unlikely you'll hear much out of them on the subject. But I have a ton of gay and lesbian friends, so I tend to be a bit more vocal on the subject than most.

Personally, I find it a unfortunate that games have been catering to the violent sociopath long before they were catering to the gay community. Even recent games, like DA:O, have TONS of opportunity for you to gleefully desecrate sacred relics, enslave free people, and slaughter innocents in bloody and savage detail, while presenting gays with only half as many romance options as straights.

On PS3 and some versions of the 360 Awakening, there are a lot of generic NPC morphs for companions. I'd say the PC version is probably canon, since it's something someone obviously worked on and it's much closer to his DA2 concept art and morph.

Wow, I had no idea PC and console Anders were so different! To think I'd fallen in love with console Anders, when I could have been lusting over the even more amazingly gorgeous PC Anders!

Some of this I agree with, but most of it is pure nonsense.  Gays are not second class citizens in the U.S.  Depending on the state, gays actually have legal protections afforded to them due to their minority status that the rest of us average mortals don't have. 

Oh, so that's why I've spent the better part of a month fighting with the California Franchise Tax Board about a problem caused by the Federal Defense of Marriage Act! The whole part where Congress passed a law stating that the federal government cannot recognize my marriage as legal, and the part where it means I get royally screwed come tax time in a way that none of my het co-workers do is all a figment of my imagination! Got it!
