I wasn't thinking about that, still I had questions and most were answered. There's none about romance, except the fact that Chris confirmed that romances work in Rivalry path too. (in case some were still doubting)

I wasn't thinking about that, still I had questions and most were answered. There's none about romance, except the fact that Chris confirmed that romances work in Rivalry path too. (in case some were still doubting)

yeah, i figured that out last minute and caught about the last five minutes. =) So romance does work on both paths? That's good.

Yup, and we've to be careful as companions can turn on us, betray and even leave us. And as it doesn't work with the approbation/disapprobation like DAO, I'm taking this seriously.

I will have to try too the rivalry romance to see if it helps mending their psychotic disorders and maybe, just maybe, hope for a normal (I'm not hoping happy) ending for my tastes. 

Still, it will be a tremendous task to treat badly Anders for example...I coulnd't resist him since Awakening >.<

I will need an enormous number of playthrough, more than my RL will ever admit, to try out the different outcomes of romances, especially with Anders and Fenris I suppose that seem the most troubled ones.

are we saying the ending is one that's going to depress me fro severak weeks after? -__- i hate those types of endings.

I think the ending is going to be a cliffhanger to be continued in DA3. Like when Cassandra is interrogating Varric and the world is "at the brink of war"... that war is probably going to continue in DA3.

oooooooooooh. Hopefully we'll get to finally see Morrigan's son. Maybe even romance him. Or possibly defeat him?  Bah, I'm staying away from DA3 theories until I've had my fill of DA2...which will take quite a while thanks to all the possible romances and their branches! >8D

Anders is apparently the game's Sephiroth now. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. I just know that my male Hawke is going to have to make some really tough decisions to keep him around.

Remember to keep the spoilers to a minimum please.  I'm not going to romance Anders, but concidering he was my favourite in Awakening, I'm very concerned about keeping an eye on him.

I am hoping the rivalry system kind of works like - your companions might want to do things that are dangerous to themselves, or would be dangerous to others/cruel, and you stopping them might make them angry, but they will listen to you anyway. Because I can't imagine how they are supposed to still respect you if you're constantly doing things they don't like, unless it's kind of "I want to do this, but you're saying it's not the right thing to do, so I'll listen to you." I hope.

I think it's probably the former. Some characters are best befriended through the friendship path, while others are best befriended through the rival path. Otherwise, I don't see the point of either system if they're not willing to consider your decisions at all.
