Agreed voiced protagonists and the heavy increase in the use of cinematics in DA2 probably make things like the equal love mods for Origins either outright impossible or just very awkward. It unfortunately also somewhat rules out an entirely modded companion like Ser Gilmore for Origins, for those like me who don't like either male option in DA2.
Hoewever I do have some hope for total makeover mods (hair, face, outfits etc.) for both Fenris and Merill are possible and hopefully will get made rather soon after release.

Full voicing means we probably won't see many mods that add gameplay time at all, which, as much as I like full voicing, is a pity. A LI in particular wouldn't work unless Hawke spent their entire subplot gagged.

Someone actually did this with a Ser Gilmore mod. It was........amusing

Well I used to work in audio engineering... maybe one day when they release a toolset someone will post a tutorial on how to replace the default hawke soundsets and I can use my equipment to rerecord the dialogue in my own voice

I'm completely foreign to modding so I don't know what I'm saying
but I think there will be at least the possibility to mod without adding the voice (I mean that the voicing won't be a necessary condition to modding). It could be a bit awkward but better than nothing, no? And perhaps there will be standard cinematics one could add without messing up too much.

One of the strong points of Bioware games has been the modding possibility and the community contribution, I'd be very VERY strange if they hadn't thought about that.

WTH!? I just read about Sebastian elsewhere.

Why oh why Bioware, do you continually make the one character I want to really romance the straight option.
This is getting more than a little annoying. Especially if all other LIs are indeed bi.
And frankly, I see it as a bit unfair that given that I paid for the version of DA2 with the Sebastian DLC, I won't be able to get the same content out of him as a female player.
I know I'm ranting a bit here, but this news has really frustrated me.

Yeah, a lot of gay guys find Zevran creepy too, because he's so flamboyant and pervy. People are too quick to scream homophobia sometimes. Just because you're gay doesn't automatically mean everyone HAS to like you.

Out of all of the charactors I've taken a gander at for DA2, Sebastion is the coolest.

Yeah, a lot of gay guys find Zevran creepy too, because he's so flamboyant and pervy. People are too quick to scream homophobia sometimes. Just because you're gay doesn't automatically mean everyone HAS to like you.

That particular poster also said that he hopes that there aren't any m/m romances in Dragon Age II,
so I'd imagine he was just being homophobic.

It does feel strange.  I mean, if he's chaste anyway, it seems very odd that he couldn't be chaste with a guy too. Especially as all the rest are bi. 

Really not sure why they did this.  But hey, at least we have the others, which is certainly better than I feared.

Is it actually properly confirmed as in "Gaider said it himself with the exact words 'both anders and fenris are same-sex LI's'"
or is it that faux-confirmed "there is some evidence that suggests it could happen so the speculation-train is just going to go ahead and leave the station now"

Jimmy - yes, someone has been playing their early release copy and has romanced them both. BW won't officially confirm it, but that's what they do, right? Deny everything and misdirect like the best magicians? But many have seen it on a stream for themselves. I have seen parts of the Fenris romance. Others have seen parts of the Anders romance. Honestly, you don't need to worry. Promise.

Unfortunately it got this person banned. Woe. But anyway, it's true.
