Starting tonight, once I start playing, I will probably avoid most of the forum. I will still post here, the Merrill thread, and a few of the private groups. Are any of you fine people starting a chatroom tonight after midnight? I would love to hang out there while playing!

I kinda agree with you to some extent. Although I don't like being ENTIRELY spoiled when it comes to games like DA2, at the same time I don't want to go in completely blind, especailly if its for something that could be potentially "OMG what did I just do?!" worthy. Still, I think I've seen enough to go in now with at least a small taste of what I'll be encountering in the game.

I would like to know more about Fenris's stance on mages though and how that will affect me going for him as my first LI. I'm expecting many shinanigans and lols

Yep, same here. I am exclusively play magical classes, archers too but to some extent. So it will be hard time to romance Fenris I think. Ice will be very-very tine.

Huh...does that mean that romances can be started on the rivalry path?  If so, do we know which companions that might apply to?

I believe all romances can be started on both friendship and rivalry, but in terms of rival specific ones, the only obvious one I can think of at the moment is Fenris, since if you side with the mages a good portion of the time he will lean towards the rivalry path. I want to try for the friendship route with him, but it may prove difficult none the less, especially since I plan to go for him as a mage my first playthough.

I bet Anders is better off starting a rival romance with. Especially if you're going to side with the templars. I remember a dev hinting that a rivalry path for a relationship with Anders could result in optimal development because it might save him from being completely consumed by Vengeance.

Come on, after the heartache of some of the Alistair romances in DAO, we know there are going to be tears. And I suspect Anders may cause most of them.

Any chance someone could give me some help on how to make Hawke's face look like that shirtless picture? Because I want some of that for a rogue. Messing around with the custimzations is always a mess for me I can never achieve what I am looking and, and on top of that, for DA2, its ALL SEXY.

Hopefully he does get a man.

Why oh why Bioware, do you continually make the one character I want to really romance the straight option.
This is getting more than a little annoying. Especially if all other LIs are indeed bi.
And frankly, I see it as a bit unfair that given that I paid for the version of DA2 with the Sebastian DLC, I won't be able to get the same content out of him as a female player.
I know I'm ranting a bit here, but this news has really frustrated me.

Woah! So he is confirmed as a love interest? Where is this information? I thought they said he was like Shale, which meant in my mind that he is a character that has dialogue and choices but isn't as embedded as the other characters. This would make me happy if he is. :-)<3

It's been a while but I felt the need to report back to this thread with my opinions. I have to say that I'm glad to hear about there being two bi male LIs, and most importantly that one is human.  Admittedly, I was much more interested in Sebastian than the other two, but Anders will do.  He always gave off that "swings both ways" sort of vibe to me, anyhow.

I can confirm that the first flirt lines people have with Anders and Fenris are hilariously insensitive and inappropriate. Hawke kind of sucks. This is delightful.

I have yet to witness proof of a male Hawke x Fenris romance , I am buying this game based on the banter that has said it was possible. Can some one link confirmation or something before i get my package later today. I will not hesitate sending the game back unopened if it is not possible.

Really now? Really? The game isn't worth playing if Fenris isn't a m/m option?

I'm pretty sure he is, unless everyone who has confirmed it is a liar (which I seriously doubt).
I haven't seen the footage myself because I don't want too much of the game spoiled for me.

No, there aren't recorded videos, because they were all live. But so many of us have seen it now. They are bi. 100%. Completely. Totally. Absolutely. No question. Or your money back.

I know you want 'real' proof. This will have to do.
