eh. I stopped caring about this debate.

I still don't want Fenris or any other elf for the simple fact that I find hairless twinks uninspiring. Any other reasoning is someone else's battle to wage.

My point exaclty. I like elves, as a race, alot. In every setting they're enigmatic, magical, ancient and above all, mysterious. Being someone who's imaginative and into what makes people tick, I find them very interesting. I just don't like how the men are usually protrayed(sans Night Elves and the occasional grizzled warrior/ranger). I'm not into hairless, pretty and graceful when it comes to men, I like stocky, husky and built. It maybe a double standard, but I want the men I romance to both look and act like "men", not women, which is why I'm so dead set on Varric since he enforces so many traits that I find attractive. I'll romance Merrill if she's available, especially since she reminds me of Tali<3, but I won't be so driven(if at all) if Fenris is the only one available even if he acts like Leonidus in 300. I can see why people fall head over heels on Fenris, but its just not for me.
 
Either way though, every potential LI enforces some stereotypes Bioware is (allegedly) infamous for. Hopefully whoever it is, he  will be able to make enough of the menfolk happy without any car tipping and anrachists calling the blood of Bioware's character developers.

Anyways I'm for Fenris because I happen to like stoic guys. I like serious brooding characters. I'm not overly into Mr. Flirtaous or Mr. Smooth talker. I prefer characters who if they crack jokes its usually of the dry humor kind and mostly those who don't talk much at all.

I only liked Alistair because he was so awkward and white knight ish. Neither Varric or Anders strike me as that type.

But seriosuly, how would an romance with Anders work out exactly now that he has a spirit inside of him? It both sounds awesome but incredibly awkward.

Sounds good. I don't like the thought of Anders turning into "MY LIFE SUCKS!" from Mr. Cheerful even despite his life sucking before. Granted it wasn't as bad but if constantly running from his life, becoming a Warden, going through all that fiasco in Awakening didn't turn him broody...

Creepy...but what about when he's awake? Will he change personas from Anders to "whatevertheheck spirit"? Have conflicting viewpoints? Unique quirks from the powers of said spirit like Wynne? I didn't like Anders very much in Awakening, but I'm very interested now.

(still, this feels like a sympathy act for Anders sake. >_> Plus, he won't be getting along with my mHawke, cause I tend to play the good guy and it sounds like he's aiming to set the church on fire. xD)

Oh man, I'm right there with you, buddy. I mean... If the spirit inside of him is silent and more of a "presence" and less of a "personality," I can get on board with that. But romancing one man's body while two sets of thoughts and opinion lurk inside? I'm in the solid category of... "notsureifwant".....

If Anders is a romance option, it doesn't matter to me what his sexuality is--I'm going to have some reservations about entering a relationship with him.

Right now I think I prefer Fenris for my manHawke. Only twenty-eight days away....!

Righteous vengence is basically justice and vice-versa.

Normal vengance is angry and reckless justice, which is what Justice's existance is based around now.

Yeah, I'm definitely pulling for Team Fenris now. Though, if Anders is the bisexual male love-interest, his personality-makeover should give us more of the "sizzle" we were looking for. Though I'm sure Anders still has traces of that lighthearted, flirtatious Zevran-esque charm, he should definitely be more serious and grounded. I'm highly intrigued at the thought of a same-sex Anders romance.... but at the same time, I'm not sure that I want it.
