I hope Anders is the male bi-sexual option. And it is bi-sexual....not homosexual option meaning Anders my have an interest in men that was not explored in Awakening. Actually no romance options were explored in Awakening at all. Anders had some glib tongue in cheek comments about Andraste and female templars but I have gay friends who have made similar types of comments about Angelina Jolie. Fenris would be the obvious choice I guess. I also wouldn't mind Varric. Something about the way he looks and the chest hair. This leads me to another question. Will there be an establishment like the Pearl in Kirkwall? Incase we just need to .....unwind as it were??

I think it would be silly to completely write off Anders. At this point, I have no preference for either love interest, or what their sexuality should be.

Simply never talking about his sexuality doesn't mean he's not bisexual. He'll get to know Hawke over ten years, and he'll be a lot more comfortable with him, I imagine. The Warden he only knew for a few months.

At the same time, is it a tad inconsistent? Yeah, probably. I doubt Gaider imagined he was bisexual when he wrote him. Anders really seems to like women--it was even in his character biography that he really liked women.

I don't see it being a sure thing either way, nor do I think someone is being delusional in thinking it might be Anders.

When I learned Anders was a companion my thought process was: "His milkshake brings me to the yard romancemenow!!11!". But contemplating it for a bit I don't think I'll really be disappointed if Fenris turns out to be the bi option, or like, not Zevran disappointed anyway.

That the magister is still after him makes sense. He's a living weapon, his tool for whatever fits his selfish goals, and he's probably the first one to survive the lyrium injecting experiment. Rather then sounding anything like Zevran, it sounds like Jack + Wolverine = Fenris. xD

And I agree, I suspect Carver will probably sell the mc out at one point. Personally, I hope we'll be giving the choice to deck him one when it happens. xD

Nah, not really. Remember, his personal gifts involved a gold earring, a knitted scarf and a kitten. If that doesn't open up the doors toward bisexuality despite whatever supposedly heterosexual comments Anders made, I don't know what does.

@Blue_Shayde: I think we're referring to abuse in a more general sense, not specifically sexual abuse. Being experimented on isn't the same thing as Zevran's history of torture and mental conditioning, but it's still abusive.

I think that this time its better to be an "I have no preferences, I like you" option rather than "I prefer women but I like you". In this case Anders far more like Zev if he really turn to be  a bi option. 

Yeeeeeeah. That is one of the main reasons why I'm leaning towards Fenris and why Zevran was a bit unappealing.
I just hope Fenris has a better set of morals, if he has any, than Zev.

story, since there would have to be some symmetry between major story
points involving whichever surviving sibling you get.

It could be
a city-elf-prologue type of thing where, as a rogue or warrior, Bethany
gets captured by the Templars and you have to break her out of prison
while, as a mage, Carver sells you out and you have to break yourself
out of prison.

my thoughts exactly. bethany will probably end up the damnsel-in-distress...though if she'll willing play that role is another story. xD I can imagine Hawke breaking in to rescue her to find half her captors already dead at her hands. 'What took you so long, Hawke? Oh, I did leave you a few."

On that note, I doubt Fenris is asexual. He probably just never came into such a situation since he's always been the magister's killing machine. The guy probably kept him locked up in his mansion or whatever when he wasn't sending him out to kill things.

Ditto, Anders has three flavours: Coward, Sarcastic and Cowardly Sarcastic. There's nothing sweet or violent about him.
Fenris was tortured, abused, treated like a tool and enslaved by a man who's country has a history of being very cruel and very decandent. He maybe romancable to crack him out of his shell, but I doubt he'd have any drive for romance.
