M/M Romances, DAII Style

Anders: His struggle as an Abomination will be fascinating as a romance option. Written by Hepler (Paragon of her Kind), I expect it will be dark, filled with horror, and require some of the hardest character decisions in the game. Plus his deep hate for the Chantry would inevitably tie him to a revolution within Kirkwall. There is nothing suggesting he wouldn't be a BI potential, and using Awakening dialogue / flirtation as evidence for his straightness doesn't agree with me. There are plenty of characters that have been altered from DA:O, personalites included (Merrill comes to mind).
Fenris: Most likely M/M since he is optional only (Like Isabela, Leliana, and Zevran). Written by Gaider (Alistair, Morrigan, Shale, etc), potential it will be heavy on snark, hilarity, and sexiness. Easy on the eyes and not to mention Gideon Emery (Balthier) is lending his gorgeous voice. May probe into the deeper mysteries of Tevinter, possible city elf uprising connection? Since he is optional, his impact on the story may have less weight than, say, Anders. Not to suggest he won't have a wonderful storyline, simply that a lot more may weigh directly on Anders' shoulders.
We shall seeeeeee.

Man that sucks, I hope we get an opportunity to kill him pretty early on if that's the case because in the DAO you could only get rid of Alistair (If you even wanted to) at the Landsmeet near the very end of the game.

But Jellyfish is right; it's very much 50/50 at this point... *still holding thumbs for Fenris*

I prefer to wait to see how things go in the game, before planning to kill anyone. The reasons of how someone is too ugly, girly, annoying or what not, do not seem very reasonable even after playing though. But that is my opinion.
I wonder when we get to know which one of them is bisexual. WIll it be after the release or will some article leak the information, like it happened with Zevran. It did happen barely before the release though.

As for Fenris I will definitely recruit him and Merrill but for the romances I just cannot get over the fact that the redesigned Elves look so much like children now.

And people really have not seen many slender and short people, have they? I wonder if it is some sort of an insecurity or perfectionism.

I like Anders well enough from what I've seen (never played Awakening) but after reading the short story, Anders scares me a little now...
So right now I'm hoping Fenris is the bi option.

Just stating my opinion, if you can get over his tweenage looks by all means romance him if he's even the Bi option (or if you're willing to play a straight femHawke to explore the possibility), unfortunately I'm leaning towards the horrible feeling they've made Anders into the Bi option this time around if only because the last Bi option, Zevran, was also an elf.
If someone says that one more time I'm going to eat my shoe.
I know you're not advocating a bi Anders romance so this isn't directed at you, Finis, but for those who are... please give me a better reason than, "Fenris can't possibly be the bi option because Zevran was bi." It's ridiculous.
They're both possible bi options for various reasons. (Thought I should add that)

I wasn't aware spirits had any form of sexuality.
This. Also, if Anders turns out to be the m/m option he'll actually be bisexual.

You've got that right, I'm not advocating Anders at all, in fact with the information we have now I'm hoping I can just kill him to get that map (like you could also just kill Wynne to get into the tower in DAO, though I personally just couldn't pu myself to do that).

For example, people find blue huge-eyed and -eared night elves from Warcraft universe as attractive. The men have a build and looks that would be rather unhealthy or strange on humans, in real life or otherwise. There are people who see them as comical, and there are those who find them appealing. However, the appeal would disappear if one tried to imagine a human or anyone in real life with a similar appearance.
Granted, I do not find the new Dragon Age elf design very child-like. Yes, they look youthful, they are slender and they are short. But adults can look like that. But people who complain might not see them as they are, average elves. They see child-like humans.
But this is off-topic now. Encarmine, are you asking because being gay is so "eww" to you? Go find some other thread to reinforce your masculinity.
EDIT: Fixed a sentence, which went againt my point.

Yes, much like Merrill is now the F/F option because Leliana was also a human rogue.Finis Valorum wrote...

That's totally how they make design decisions, you know.

were a s pirit of justice, that happend to like girl spirits, and
suddenly your host was gay, would be upsetting for the straight spirit.
Whats not right about that.
What? I must have missed this and if I did then I'm sorry, but where did Justice ever announce that he liked girl spirits? Where did he ever announce that he liked anyone romantically?

I did say it's a gut feeling I have didn't I?
I don't know how the Bioware/EA management makes design decisions, for all I know they could roll dice, read tea leaves or just watch which banana the monkey picks.
