Indeed. On the older BioWare forums, you could get an auto-ban for posting something with the f-word in it.

I don't know if Anders would continue to remind you that he prefers women every chance he gets (for those comparing him to Zevran). With his predicament, he would most likely be too busy to worry about you being a man. Just because he previously flirted with a specific gender in Awakening doesn't really determine or make his sexuality definite. He could be a bisexual man with more attraction to women, but is certainly attracted to men as well. I agree that it ultimately boils down to how well they incorporate their bisexuality, but I guess there are truly some who just can't be pleased at all.

So I guess Anders can go guard someone else...or be Varric's moving target for his archery practice. xD 22nd...that better be a darn good demo to come out this late into the game.

I'm happy even if there is just TWO S/S romances. No other RPGs, including a lot of Bioware ones, nod and are equal romance lovers.



The fact DA2 is gettin' so much publicity and they are trying to attract a larger casual gamer base, the fact that there are even TWO s/s romances makes me very happy. It breaks a lot of stereotypes and barriers that have laid dormant in gaming culture, and it will force some very homophobic and incredibly jerky young kids to rethink how sex is approached in a broader culture.



Not suggesting Bioware should meet certain moral obligations or be champions of justice, but it certainly means so much to a lot of people who frankly don't have many options to play out their own fantasies on equal footing with the privileged. IF all four are Bi, I will roll and be very pleased. I'd be pleased if only two were.

I would prefer Anders as the male/male romance option. I am sure Fenris is a wonderful guy and he has a greatsword, but he is an elf, and they are likely not as tall as a male human Hawke. It is more attractive if you can look up to or at least see eye to eye with your guy, and not only figuratively.

Neither one really appeals to me but I guess if push comes to shove a tweenage looking elf is at least better then a certified mental patient. I want a half decent m/m romance, not being forced to play "Dr. Phil the game". I'm still hoping for a cute, Dairren like Npc guy we can romance and not someone who reminds you at every turn that he prefers boobies but will settle for you.

I agree that it's great that there's even a chance for s/s romances and, excuse me while I step out of the bubble of positivity for a moment, I doubt both of them are going to be bi. David has said himself that he doesn't like the everyone is bi option and, while I know that's not confirmation, I'm not saying it is, to me it does sound pretty clear that it's not something that's going to happen any time soon.

We'd just like confirmation as to who it exactly is. As Ryzaki said, it's going suck if you try and romance one of these fine men and realize hmm, he's just not that interested in your male Hawke. In the end there's going to be a negative response whether they say who it is now or later, but BioWare could avoid a lot of, " YOU TOTALLY FORCED ME TO TAKE A GAY GUY IN MY GROUP. BIOWARE WANTS ME TO BE GAY!" or "If I'd known person x was for females only I would have rolled a Lady Hawke… urgh, starting a new game." comments and threads if they just say who it is now. The second one is a stupid example, I grant you, but there it is.

So what I'm trying to say is that if we sound ungrateful and whiny I don't think we mean to. In the end it's absolutely amazing that the writers and the rest of the developers even do it, and we're not expecting them to lead the way in the fight for equal rights or anything, but I don't get why it has to be such a big secret. I really don't. One little confirmation, in this thread even, not a huge billboard announcing it to the world, is really all we'd like.

And, this could just be my lack of faith in humanity talking, but if some homophobic jerk hates everything to do with homosexuality then this game right here is not going to change his or her mind. I think the amount of "I killed Zevran before he could rub his gayness off on me. LOL" comments floating around is proof of that.

Urgh, and if I sound like a **** then I'm sorry. I don't mean to.

Personally, I loved Alistair. A lot. My favorite elf is Soris, city elf warden's cousin.
I'm really glad they improved the bodies in DA2. DAO body frames looked really unnatural. None of the male companions so far appeal much to me. Carver is out since he's our brother. I don't mind incest but a lot of ppl obviously do.

I was sad that Alistair wasn't interested in my male warden... romance with closeted Alistair would have been adorable.

And yeah Carver is pretty appealing I don't care if my game has incest either But sibling rivalry/affection sounds fun too.

Now Carver is a romance prospect I would be interested in with MHawke, don't much care if it's incest it's not like m/m love can result in pregnancies anyway. Anyway if cannibalism is in I don't see why incest should be out, imho incest is far less worse then cannibalism.

I'm disappointed they did this. I actually like being taller than my LI. Short dudes are hot.
