Hint: it does not.
I'm good with either Anders or Fenris as the M/M option. People might call Fenris... tweenage looking, but I don't agree. He looks Elven, which results in more delicate features and a slimmer build, but he definitely looks like a man. Just an Elven one. Anders... well, I liked him in Awakening, and I liked the spirit that's inside him too. A combination of the two will suit me just fine, unless he goes too emo on me.

Skipping the incest thing because that is a subject I'm not touching with a ten foot pole. But you, my good sir (I'm assuming you're a sir) have made my day. Thank you.

Now Carver is a romance prospect I would be interested in with MHawke, don't much care if it's incest it's not like m/m love can result in pregnancies anyway. Anyway if cannibalism is in I don't see why incest should be out, imho incest is far less worse then cannibalism.
Carver is not a romance prospect, and can we stop talking about it before the thread gets locked?

I hope Bioware is brave enough to attempt something like this because then at least I'll get to watch something beautiful unfold, even if it hurts that my character cannot be a part of it.

^I wouldn't say "tweenage", more like "twink". Meh, not my cup of tea, but it's good to see some people like him.
Those two terms are interchangable, though the latter is pretty much gay slang unlike the former. And yet again, does either really apply to Fenris? He doesn't look young (when compared to say... Carver, or most other Elves we've seen) and he's only missing body hair and facial hair because he's an Elf.

Carver is not a romance prospect
True enough and neither is any man that's even vaguely attractive, that black Emporium better have some love golem for sale.

"tweenage" refers to adolescents who have not yet entered their teens. "twink" as I've seen it applied tends to refer to adults who look like teenagers (or to actual teenagers), so I don't really think the terms are interchangeable.
That said, I agree with you that Fenris actually looks quite mature as elves go. Something about the face. His features don't have that soft, "unfinished" quality that young men have.
That's very subjective. I happen to find both male LI's physically attractive. Not sure I want to date an abomination or anything, but physically they're both ok.Finis Valorum wrote...

Why Carver needed to be our brother, anyway? *sigh* I think I can give a chance to Anders or, ah, Fenris.

Isn't "tweenage" a much younger term? Like "twink" can still apply to someone in his twenties, while "tweenage" is basically anything below sixteen or something. Meh, just nitpicking on terms, it's just the stickler in me.
I'd actually place him around Carver's age-group. But that's just the impression I get, maybe I'm just really bad with ages.

It's not groundbreaking news (or nothing some of us haven't speculated before on our own), but I just thought this could be a point in Anders' favor regarding whether he's the bi LI or not.David Gaider wrote...

Maybe if Anders wasn't a cannibal lunatic and they hadn't redisigned the elves to look like the fantasies of Japanese businessmen I could too. As it is unless there's and npc m/m Li we don't know about its going to be herioc celibacy in DA2 and hoping for DA3.
Ah well if Isabella still appreciates the female form the f/f romance is at least likely to be quite good.

We think very alike, then. Isabela looks someone fun to have around, I want to give her f/f romance a try.

I'd prefer Fenris, but Ander's "condition" seems interesting enough so...

You're just being misled by Fenris being an Elf, it adds the illusion of youth in most cases.

The terms are not interchangable at all. "Tween" refers to an age range while twink refers to a body type. And yes, twink does apply to Fenris. It applies to all elves in DA. They're all thin, hairless faces and bodies, and youthful. I've seen guys in their mid 30's get described as twinks so there's really no age limit as long as you still fit the physical requirements.
-edit for clarification: I should note that I think whoever called Fenris "tweenage" was just plain using the wrong word.-

I'm not really even sure he'd start eating your face, literally, while pursuing a relationship with him. If he's always going to be possessed and crazy, then why would they bother making him an LI at all?
As for the new elves look, I think they just look a little more graceful. Though I admit, Fenris looks like he belongs in the Elezen race in FFXIV.

I wonder if the demo will let us pursue a romance for a short moment. But then again, i bet its just the first hour of the game's opening, so Fenris and a few other characters probably won't even be in the party. Its probably just the beginning where you help and recruit Isabela.

Chris confirmed that the demo shown in the threads isn't the demo we're getting on the 22nd. I think Anders (at least) and Fenris are two of the earlier companions you can recruit so who knows if they'll both make brief appearances? But we'll most likely have to wait until someone actually plays the full game and cares enough to divulge who "he" is.

I think people are making a bigger deal out the cannibal thing than we're meant to. At any rate regardless of his status as m/m love interest, I really hope a big part of Anders' storyline involves getting him unpossessed.
Much agreed. I mean, geez, it's a line about the taste of blood that splashes into his mouth, not 'hm, I like that. Okay, new favorite drink!' If anything, I read it as savoring the kill, something that I'm sure a spirit of Vengeance would do. It by absolutely no means makes him a 'cannibal.'
And yes, finding a way to free him of Vengeance and return it to Justice would make for a good storyline.

Just wanted to say I'm super excited for DA2. I looooooved the romances in DA:O, even Zevran so either Fenris or Anders(swoons) is exciting to me, both would be amazing. Just having S/S representation is enough for me, I'm easy.
Had a semi-related question though. With the whole possessed Anders thing couldn't you just do what they did with Conner in DA:O? (I'm just getting around to Awakening, bought it on release but gave up because of all the bugs) If it's off-topic can someone PM me? I just think trying to help him cope with what's going on would be super emotionally powerful and I'd love to see that. Here's to hoping all the Anders and Fenris fans get what they want.
