They certainly seemed to need to with Zevran, for some reason. That is easily my least favorite aspect of his relationship when playing a dude.

That was a bit odd. 

Then of course was the whole he was molded to be that way by people sexally abusing him as a child (or at least that's what I drew from the raised in a wh*rehoue where he learned his "massages" ). And the Crows requiring a certain open mindness in their assassins. 

Urgh. 

I know it wasn't intentional but that's what I drew from it.

Agreed, though it certainly beats the "Justice is a gay spirit and Anders isn't, but now that Justice is inside Anders' body, he's must be bi" reasoning. I hope they at least gave a background about when Anders started realizing his hidden attraction towards other men. Hell, throw in a male character in Anders' past who he had feelings for, but never pursued.

Well if you're amongst people people who are more open about sexuality you are more likely to express your sexuality openly, whatever it maybe. Doesn't mean it made them bisexual....don't fall into the same thought trap that our opposition tries to foist upon us.

Of course m/m romance is content that's open for all to enjoy or ignore as it should be. I am kind of interested in whether gay guys prefer Anders or Fenris and whether that demographic differs from the broader group on these boards (who seem to prefer Fenris as the m/m option). I'm happy with either, but as a gay man - would definitely prefer Anders. Fenris is a little too skinny and androgynous for my tastes

I'm not sure his short story didn't give me that impression. (Nor did it make me feel like he was stoic. A stoic wouldn't bother to leer at a woman after breaking into her home, steal her food and then scare her for the lulz).

I went with virginal because he seems... uh... confrontational with others. For valid reasons.
EDIT: Well, virginal would probably be the wrong way to say it, because that implies a characterization. His current lifestyle on the run, which is presumably the only thing he remembers, just isn't really conducive to much sexual experience. I just wonder if he hasn't at all had sex, or can't remember having ever had sex with someone. Deeeeeefintely not the blushing Alistair type though.

Maybe go with celibate instead of virginal. Different conotations to the word.

My feelings from the very little information we have is that since he has a strong aversion to touch, he's probably not promiscuous. Not like Zevran, anyway. Whether that means he's completely inexperienced or not is up in the air, though I'd lean towards not. The question of whether he remembers or not is still up in the air.

That being said, I'm still hoping for Anders. I'm replaying Awakening at the moment, and I feel like I'm analyzing every line he has with a male party member or male character, trying to figure out whether or not there might be an undercurrent of an interest. *sigh* All it's really doing, of course, is making me wish Nate were coming back.
