Anders and Fenris are both wonderful choices for the s/s option, depending on whatever it is. They are both quite beautiful and even androgynous in their own ways. One just has a darker background than the other.

Apologies to the rest of the thread
She is clearly sneaking up on him. A few frames later he notices her and you will see him trying to explain that it is all a misunderstanding, that he only wanted to be friendly and that he isn't into women.
@makenzieshepard
Those pics completely slipped from my mind... "Duh moment" for me. Sigh... Oh well, still it would be awsome if he is the LI. Or Anders...
@blauregen
That's the spirit!! Woots!
And someone asked me (forgot name but will look back) about specifics regarding Zev saying he prefers women. I'll have to look over the dialogues again for that kind of detail.

I think Anders would be better for s/s but I can't see him being like that after playing Awakenings. I suppose he's changed so anything is possible ey?
Well, there was little info in Awakenings regarding Anders' love life...the only thing I can think of is his comment about wanting I don't know what and a pretty girl? ....
Maybe it's Fenris, that way each gender would be able to romance 1 mage, 1 rogue, and 1 warrior

Well yes I've seen that of course. My female warden was like "Uh pretty girl right here" but Justice might have been bi? I can just see Anders really well with Hawke. Because he's so peppy.
And I mean his gifts might be a hint. Scarfs earing and an alpowerful kitty?

I'm not sure about this...Justice is a spirit, I don't think he's interested in romance? I don't know, do spirits get together or something? like spirit meets spirit, spirits fall in love etc?

About Zevran, ... while I kinda disliked him, ..., the "I prefer women but you'll do",
I actually never noticed this
(regarding Sebastian as a LI, I would like that, at least to have another option for romance - for both men and women)
Found it.
"Zevran (male pc): Given my druthers I would say I prefer a soft and shapely woman, but I know what I am. I will not discount anyone solely because of what someone else tells us is right or wrong. (this is simply who he is)
Zevran (female pc): Do I prefer women? Yes... yes, I believe I do, but you must understand that a certain open-mindedness is sought by the Crows in their recruits. For very good reasons. (thoughtful)"
That is in one of the posts of ejoslin (hope i got the name right - user on this forum - more specifically in a topic regarding Zevran romance). So he does say that
It's well said, not really offensive, but it just has that "meh" fell to it. Not much but there. Anyway, without things like that or in any case, not many of them (all things considered, I'm willing wo overlook a lot when it comes to Dragon Age
Ooh... one extra option would be awsome, even if in DLCs. As long as it's a bi option... haha

And we know other men trust Justice, by letting him come inside them. /joketakenwaytoofar
But while I think the "the spirit might be bi!" explanations for Anders as the m/m are lulzy at best, the demons we meet throughout DA:O who are overtly seductive don't seem to particularly have a mind for gender and seem to want sexual/romantic experiences not because of any physical attraction persay, but from some sort of ecstacy at experiencing strong human emotions. In that case, I could see Justice as a now corrupted spirit being interested in experiencing that side of humanity without, say, being concretely interested in sex or physically attracted to hawke.

I guess I'll play devil's advocate here for a second. Are y'all suggesting that because someone was abused as a child, that means the only way to interact with them is on a completely platonic level because they're so hopelessly damaged they can't have an intimate relationship? That's not minimizing the trauma of the experience and, while I'm no psychologist, I'm sure Zevran would have a host of unresolved issues related to that, but really... the only response is to have no response? I saw Zevran as explaining his past in a very matter-of-fact fashion, perhaps as one who has already dealt with it through years of therapy and just moved on, and telling the Warden why he's never been particularly good with relationships (because all the models he had as a child were not about love, and as a teenager and adult he was taught love was a liability). Now, he's trying to break out of that, perhaps even experience some healing in the process, and you're going to turn him away because it makes you uncomfortable?Ryzaki wrote...

And then telling you about the masage he learned at the w****house which he left when he was 7.... *shakes head*
Wow... cold.(I don't think you're cold, actually. I understand what y'all are saying, but I do think there's another perspective on it.)
That's not really what it is for me, although I will cop to misremembering and therefore misrepresenting what Zevran said about "open-mindedness"- it wasn't forced, it was just "sought" (not sure how euphemistic that is or how much better it makes things, although it certainly does). Zevran often talks about his sexuality in terms of practicality as opposed to desire (although there's plenty of that, too), and this along with the fact that he says he prefers women just makes me be like, ehhh, Zevran, maybe later. I certainly don't think victims of child abuse are incapable of making their own romantic decisions, but Zevran just makes me question how into dudes he is (plenty, I'm sure. he's just makin' it weird for me). And on unrelated note, I'm all uh,
re: Fenris' ~*prettiness*~. I use this word interchangeably with attractive as long as the subject isn't insanely rugged or something and I rock the asterisk/tilde bookends because I enjoy decorating my words. I stand by my statement. Fenris is a pretty man!
What kinds of gigolos do you suppose we'll find in this game? Time for some Tal'vashoth lovin'?

I certainly understand that. I know some people who are like that, though. I also think sexuality can be quite fluid for some people, and in other cases what people say -- and even what they really think is true -- is not necessarily how they actually are. Granted, someone with Zevran's, ahem, experience is these matters, one would assume he's had enough opportunity to learn what he likes and wouldn't be bashful about expressing it, but the mind and sexuality are complicated things.umwhatyousay wrote...

I loved this, actually (as an observer and roleplayer... had I actually been confronted with that in real life I'd have run away screaming for the police). To me it added a sense of danger to the relationship that was, in a virtual sense, kind of a turn on. You can see it in a lot of spy movies, too... how many Bond movies are there where he's sleeping with an enemy agent, and they both know exactly who the other person is? And it was fun! (To watch, at least.)And on unrelated note, I'm all uh,
, when he cheerily tells that story about doing a lady before killing her because he wants to make fun of her attempts to get out of death. ZEVRAN! YOU ARE THE WORST AT SEDUCTION WHY DO YOU NOT KNOW THIS??*
I'm keeping fingers crossed for Sebastian and I'm growing on the idea of a chance to at least flirt with Varric. But, uh, a Tal'vashoth? We'll see. (I never got Sten, romantically or otherwise.)What kinds of gigolos do you suppose we'll find in this game? Time for some Tal'vashoth lovin'?

Zevran tells you he prefers women before you enter a romance with him, doesn't he? And during the time he spends with you, I'm sure he never mentions wanting to sleep with someone else, or to prefer the other gender more. If you ask him about his sexual escapades too, which again, I think you can only do pre-romance, he tells you of both men and women he's slept with.
Besides, a lot of bisexuals lean more toward one gender or the other, not for their gender but for their bodies.
I love Zevran, and it tears me up if I have to choose between him and Alistair (Yay Polygamy mod!). But the "I prefer boobies" thing is kind of off-putting for my male Wardens, because it comes across as "I'll do you if I can't find someone better". For me-the-player, it comes across as Bioware wanting to make sure they're not perceived as "too gay".

Zevran was always so 'meh' about being an assassin. Of course, I never did his dream in the Circle Tower, so what do I know. xP
So I'm guessing there's still no leaks. *curses bioware* they must have upped security. xD
Anyway, I'm still staying in the bubble that says all genders get a swing at any of the LI's. ^^

I bet they're doing that Men In Black thing with the flashy pen.
Bioware devs: What you saw just now was not a threesome between a male Hawke, Anders, Fenris, and or any other of the male party members you decided to flirt with. In fact, what you actually saw was just a normal demo with no out of norm romantic interactions. In fact, to make things clearer, what you did see of romantic interactions involved only femHawke/Fenris, mHawke/Merrill, and our favorite, the really hot mHawke/Isabela. Dragon Age 2 is the greatest game ever and all hail our Bioware overlords.
Reviewer: All hail our Bioware Overlords.

Anders also make a remark about wanting to retire to the county with a plump wife and several nubile mistresses. Then sighing it would have to wait.
So far he doesn't seem like he *is* Anders anymore, he's changed in many ways.
I think anything is possible.

That's one of my problems as well. I think that no matter what your sexuality, it's bad form to continually bring up your exes with your current, and it's worse when you're talking about your female exes to your male current. It's another part of my bad first impression of Zevran. I have never liked the 'suave Latin lover' personality, and frankly, my first playthrough, it was metagaming that had me take him into the party because I knew he was my only option. Although the character I was playing was attracted, me the player considered it a possiblity that Zevran would leave my character for the next skirt wearing heaving bosom that sauntered by.
I don't want whoever is the romance option, either or both, to be openly bragging about their past... conquests (of which I only see Anders as possibily having the opportunity to do this) either way, but it's uncomfortable at best if they're all of the opposite gender to who is actually romancing them. I accepted it from Sky in Jade Empire because it was one woman, his wife, who had been very important to him for years. Zevran just had a series of flings, and apparently all of them were female. For a male player, it's not exactly encouraging for a lasting romance.

But I think the acceptance of lesbians ends there.
But more "Butch" lesbians with no interest in men whatsoever still encounter a level of hostility generally. We just don't see many such characters in video games.
