It's a shallow misinterpretation of dating sims. Which happen to be a small subset of Japanese games. 

And there are English dating sims. So yeah the whole "japanese gamers" thing is complete and utter nonsense. 

And FYI xThuderblazex: BW has had "Dating" in their games since bloody BG2.

to me to be honest. Perhaps you'd like some evil zombie kittens to go
with that. Besides even the original Anders was too annoying to be cute

No they aren't for example if this Sebastian fellow turns out to be a ploy to get into the wallets of shrieking fangirls everywhere a viable romance option after all then I predict that boobies have to be involved somehow.

Picture of Hawke/Fenris. ^ Best part...for me...is no beard. I wouldn't mind some scruff. but I'm not the full-on beard type. (wish they'd give us an early demo of the character creation)

I just had a thought while googling fenris pics. Does his tattoos glow? Cause that'll make him pretty darn useful in caves. xD (or a night light. xD)
