*Pling!* - Tiny things you want in ME3

But they aren't the main plot. The main is to stop the Collectors. "Building the team" = the necessary recruitment missions, not the loyalty quests. Those are all B plot.

I also wish they would add more hair options and fix the existing ones. At the least they could make the hair go over the visors not through them.

Yeah, the loyalty missions weren't masterpieces of writing, either. Some are better than others, and some are abysmal.

Really? Because Jacob and Miranda seem to consider "removing distractions" the same thing as "team building" and if we're going to talk about masterpeices of writing then we certainly can't mention the gigantic cliche bomb that was ME1 which had it's fair share of just horribly written scenes, like anything involving Matriarch Benezia.
ME1 was a classic standard action adventure tale, it took all those sci-fi cliches and did something new and fun with them. Unfortunately if you tell the same story and just tweak it three times it gets old really fast. Trilogy structure, the first does its own thing, then the second one builds upon that while changing things up to remain fresh, and then the third brings it all together.

I didn't say ME1 was a masterpiece.
Regardless, the loyalty missions are sidequests that help people survive the mission. They are not in any way necessary, and thus are not the A plot.
What is necessary is recruiting the first 4 characters (one of whom you do not have to activate), and then recruiting 2 of the following 3. Those are the "team building" parts of the A plot, and Mordin is really the only A plot party member (of those you actively recruit). Add into those missions the Collector funnel missions and you have the A plot.
*And this is off-topic, so enough of that.

As for the little things I want, well...Blasto should show up. No, he has to. Then I'd love for squad members to talk to Shepard voluntarily. Why does s/he always have to crawl to them? Oh, and the squad discussions should come back. The crew feels like they're barely aware of each other at all. Maybe the squad members should even
Okay, maybe those are plot-related and not exactly little things. Then, uh...I want customizable armor back! I could never live without it now. And ship collecting. Oh, how my Shep became a collecting nerd because of this game.

Animate the characters' hair in cutscenes. It's rare for me to even notice such things, but this is something that really annoyed me both in ME and DA. It doesn't have to be marvelous, hyper-realistic flowing hair--just, you know, at least don't make it defy gravity by not moving an inch even when the character bends down and such.

A medi-gel dispenser and a heavy weapon ammo crate would be awesome too. From a game-perspective it can get over-powered, but since we have a Hammerhead in the cargo-hold and lots of missiles for it, it can neither be a cost issue nor a space issue to store HW ammo there. Just sayin'...

They're faster for the PC but that's besides the point

Judging by the Oculus fight, crates of the stuff were in there all along.

Contrariwise, riding on the elevators and constantly hearing the same banter and news stories gets really old on subsequent playthroughs of ME1. And often, that stuff only lasts for part of the elevator ride and so you're stuck watching your party stand there silently and fidgeting. Admittedly, points on capturing the realism of the everyday elevator experience, but hardly riveting.
Oh, and that's only for the Citadel elevators and, IIRC, one on Noveria. All the other elevators in the game (and the tram on Noveria), and there are plenty, give you nothing but more silence and fidgeting. Thankfully, at least those are mostly short (but often they just resort to a fade-to-back load screen, which is about as lifeless as it gets).
And no one ever talks at the airlock, which you'll use every single time you go to the Citadel or Feros or Noveria. Then there's the stupidly slow Normandy elevator, upon which Shep always rides in silent solo style. Plus, we were still stuck with the "spinning mass relay" and "We're in FTL" loading screens all the time. I'l take the variety of ME2 screens (and there are actually quite a lot) over those two any day, even if it means "sacrificing" the elevator chats (which they could just implement to play as you walk around, as seen with Garrus and Tali in ME2. And we got a ton more news stories in this one as well, even if you mostly did have to deliberately activate them).

I mean, they don't even have to look much different, just a quick 'thats (species) female gender' nod would be nice.

Crouching, Hell in ME2 your squadmates can do it(only when they get stuck).
More elevator banter...
Maybe a bit more common sense into planning an assault...

If you clear a room quickly or before your squadmates even arrive to provide assistance, a comment about it or some kind of 'wow' could be done.
If on the other hand you take forever and a day and almost die, chars could make a small jab at your skills.... which you could shut up with a display of awesome come the next battle.

Character reactions and comments based to how well or poorly, fast or slow, etc. you battle.

Should be easy enough, too. In Dragon Age, if you did really well in a fight, Zevran would sometimes say "We are ridiculously awesome."

If I'm playing as a Renegade then I should have renegade love options. Like having casual sex without love being involved. Actually being a bada55 and having certain characters drawn to me because of it. Save the love for the Paragon.
On the same note having other non party NPC come on to you was a nice touch. I liked when Gianna Parsini and Shiala had that little come-on dialogue! Should be more of that. Especially for fem shep.
I want more leveling up! I liked in ME1 that I could play through twice and get my character to level 60 and damn near have all my talents leveled up.
Give squad mates more than just 3 talents. I mean really! If im an Adept and have 5 biotic abilities then Samara who is also an adept should have the same. Same goes for Garrus/ Infiltrator, Jack/ Vangaurd, etc...
Bring back the motion blur when i run from ME1. I liked that when i ran it looked like i was running! Not doing the Frankenstein stomp!
Bring back the scars!<3

I agree it act's like some plastic or rubber helmet. I've played a lot of games that have some hair and even cloth movement (like a bandana or belt). I don't see why they can't add a little realism.

What? People seriously want the elevators back?
I hate to say it but riding an elevator in place of a loading screen is better. I sort of liked hearing the new broadcasts instend of staring at that loading screen in ME2. I'll even settle for a black screen in place of the ME2 loading screen but I'd rather take a ride and hear news that talks about randoms stuff going on and some of the things you did. The news clips could even tell you about something going on that you could go here or there and start a side mission based on them.

The Unreal Engine can't support it. To add realism to hair movement in Mass Effect would probably take more work
than making every single cutscene in the game because they'd have to basically reinvent the engine.

A Krogan with a giant sword or axe instead of a gun. He shouldn't last too long, just long enough to elicit a 'Holy s**t!' reaction.

Not that you have time to see it but theres a trailer for Blasto showing on a giant screen during the skycar chase sequence in LOTSB
My two wants are simple-
Garrus Vakarian
Conrad Verner

Big choices being horizontal to each other in the dialogue wheel so we can decide what we think is the morally correct choice rather than the game telling us. Paragon + Renegade points removed from these choices as well.
More control over what Shepard says. I realise that a speaking PC can make this difficult but having every single Shepard forced into saying the classic "Human dominance? Or just Cerberus?" among other lines is irritating.
Characters not going out of character (Hi Miranda!).
A toggle to allow people to see what Shepard will say if hovering over the paraphrase in the dialogue wheel.

Oh really? Darn that sucks.
Still I'd be happy if they at least fix the hair for the visors. I hate seeing it going through the different head gear. That should still be an easy fix.
