im trying to enjoy adepts on insanity but its difficult to do. if you get satisfaction out of half second staggers then by all means, enjoy the heck out of the ME2 adept while you can. i just dont appreciate the adept as much as i used to.
i keep asking this question and havent seen an answer to it, what other class is as hindered by insanity as an adept?

The reason no one has directly answered this is because the folks you are asking disagree with the basic premise. However, it has been answered indirectly. I think Tony Gunslinger did it best. And I quote:The Spamming Troll wrote...

Both the Adept and the Engineer are the weaker classes because they do not have superhero-like abilties that prevents people from learning and improving their game, but they are the most balanced classes because
of it. They both generate rewards that depends on how much the player is willing to take. If you just want a shallow display of carnage to make you feel better, then playing something else.

The adept has only had one problem, and that is its ineffectiveness against YMIRs. Stasis solved this problem.

This thread exists because any time someone brings up a class with powers that only function fully against targets that are down to health, there are those who want to say that said powers are useless above Veteran difficulty, because once enemies are at health, they're all but dead anyway. As stated in the openning post, this is not the case for those reasons listed. This thread exists simply to combat that particular myth, and provide evidence disproving it.HTTP 404 wrote...
OPs post is like splitting hairs. I agree but its no big deal. Even on Insanity, the game is just easy by the third playthrough. Ill use shredder ammo just for the hell of it to match a green N7 armor or something.

Hindered the way I think you are refering to, none. The adept is the only class where the basic feel of the classes abilities change that dramatically from normal to insanity. Some claim the engineer, but since sone of the enigneers primary powers are defense stipping, him using overload to strip defenses so he can then hack actually is constantly keeping with the basic feel of the engineer class.
Whether this makes the adept a bad/nonfun class to play is a different question and will vary from person to person. I think it makes the adept more fun to play, but that is me.
As for the awesome player arguments I have seen. Um it is insanity, should the average joe player be playing insanity? Isn't it meant for the better/more dedicated players.

The answer is that the Adept is not hindered on Insanity. The Adept has a crowd control power in Singularity that locks down enemies even if they have full defenses. Throw down a Wide Singularity, pop off some pistol or SMG shots to break somebody's Armor/Shield, then Pull/Slam and Unstable Warp for widespread destruction.
