If I want to buy most things online, they make it too easy to fail (makes sense, right?) But if I go to the bioware store...
1. I cannot find anything to do with DA: Origins...everything defaults to DA:2 but I want Awakenings. I wanted to download it.
2. Bioware store links to some outside site the minute you want to login. That site cannot remember my password and says my email doesn't exist on it's system. But I just bought DA:O from you in December! Suddenly I don't exist? Sign up for some new service that doesn't work, BioWare?
3. I just want to buy and download Awakenings. Not t-shirts. Not stuff. I have enough stuff. The darned add-on. Where is the page? Why do I keep ending up on DA:2 site? Where did the store go?

I want to send y ou my money for some code...but if it's going to be this difficult, sheesh....I'll go elsewhere. NO other vendor, not even ebay, makes it this hard to buy stuff. You want to sell more? Make it seamless and transparent. Don't lose my customer ID.

You can't get Awakening from the BioWare store anyway. You will have to find a local retailer or digital distributor of your choice and pick it up there. Although, you already have Awakening registered to your account so are you sure you are talking about the right thing?

Maybe you should try logging into the EA store (Or the EA downloader) with your account, as that is where you would have bought the game.

Edit: This is going off the assumption you followed a link to the EA store from the BioWare site. As it's an EA game, and you're absolutely positive you bought it from a BioWare site, that's the only logical conclusion I can come to.

Also, the DA:O website hasn't gone anywhere. Simply click 'Dragon Age: Origins' at the top of the DA2 page, and it will bring you to the Origins site (As would that link).

Mr. Lynch has it right. You can't buy Awakenings from the Bioware store. That makes sense. I have Steam....can I buy it off there? Will my characters import export okay if I didn't get the first episode from steam?

I have Awakenings on the 360. But I bought Origins for the PC when I upgraded my computer this summer, and the graphics are so far superior (not to mention that i can control my summoned creatures and some of the traps problems and other things were fixed for the PC, that I have enjoyed the game again on the PC. I wanted to take my warden to the golems of Amgarrak but if I don't level them up using Awakenings, I'm guessing it would be a fail to win at hard or nightmare. So I wanted it.

Walmart used to carry it but I haven't been able to find it lately. So I'll check other digital retailers.

Thanks for clarifying...Mr. Lynch. I recognize your name from the game credits, correct?...thanks for answering.

I was thinking the bioware store but it's the ea store that sells it. But now you MUST have the ea download manager to both download the game and to play it, and the eula really pushes any realistic boundaries of personal privacy invasion. I'm unhappy in the extreme about the data collection and usage. The things I had to agree to in order to play a download version of this game (or any other ea game) might just change my mind about the whole digital download experience. Why must we sacrifice our privacy (and promise that we will a) not delete the downloader and B) recognize it might screw up our computer performance but c) hold you un-responsible (ea that is) for any problems.

Don't corporations have ANY responsibility any longer?

You can't buy Awakening from Steam if your copy of Dragon Age isn't from Steam. Yes, you need the EA Download Manager to download the game, but I'm not sure you need it to run the game. It's recently had quite the overhaul, and I don't remember having to have it open to play anything. Looking at this very recent topic on Neowin, it's again confirmed that you don't need DLM to play the game once it's been installed.

I have not started the dlm to run Awakenings, but I was referring to the UELA that you have to consent to when you install it. Go have a read. It may not be necessary today, but you do have to agree to it. Open the agreement and see for yourself what you agreed to. :) I did just get the new dlm yesterday, so I've got the most recent agreement.

HOwever, it doesn't seem to require me to start it to run the game. Odd. Maybe that's a future feature. Or maybe it's running in the background and I can't tell?
