Make a food supply, lock my room, close the curtains, and not pick up the phone.

Having just finished my bachelor's degree in early November, I'll get paid leave from job and cut my social life/contact with females for about two weeks.

Deserved nerd break... oh, I can't wait.

I will call my work and tell them I will be sick for 2 weeks by some affection called Mass Effect.
Its very contagious and spreads easliy and can make you addictive to it.

Oh and, during those two weeks I will replay Me1, Me2 and and just drool over my keyboard when I play Me3 :)

EffectusMassititus?

ohh a nasty one, already got it luring in a box. Just need to open it by "pupose" and then its no leaving the house for the next week ;)

Also you seem to hate ME2 quite a lot, how come? I mean sure there's things that was better in ME1, but in all i myself find ME2 to be a better game than ME1.

I'll install and start it, crossing fingers in the hope that there won't be another squad-wrecking twist in the first 30 seconds of the game.

This. I really hope they don't do this to us again.

Going by what happened with ME2 and DA. Pick it up at the UPS/FedEx warehouse 'cause they can't deliver to my apartment. Then let it sit in the car because I had to pick it up on the way to work. Spend the work day in a semi-twitching state, then get home and try to load it only to find something fouling up the load. It'll be loaded around 9PM and I'll forgo sleep that night to get the prologue done.

Ironically, recent speculation actually mentioned hints on "early squad member deaths" in ME3. But it remains just speculation at this point.

If purchased from a shop...
I'll go home whilst eagerly reading the manual on the trip home.
Once at home, rush to my PC/Console (or both if I get it on both lol)
Start playing whichever playthrough I've decided to go through it first and probably not stop until I have to... it'll probably equal the 'longest day of my life' so most likely I'll be playing as 'Jack Shepard' first just to really hammer that point home :P

If purchased online via post...
Same as above but rather than taking it from a shop and reading manual on way home, I will be eagerly awaiting for Mr.Postman to deliver it to me having probably took the day off work if I've got job by then.

If purchased online via DL (most unlikely due to the issues I had last time :( )
I'll eagerly be waiting for the 'unlock' period for DL, then whilst it is DLing have a mini power-nap, setting my alarm for when it due to finish DLing. Then install it, whilst installing it, go make myself a flask of coffee and some cheesy nachos or popcorn, then once installed play it like as if purchased from shop.

So yup, most likely Jack Shepard will by my first playthrough and I'll have a 24+ hour marathon on it (well assuming it is at least 24 hours long :P ).

ME2 gameplay was very enjoyable. It has become very smooth and fast paced, and they fixed the stupid stat based aiming that made ME1 so annoying to play. It is becoming a good shooter. But the story has gotten much worse. It almost seems like the two are inversely related. Which is quite sad, as I did enjoy the story of the first game, enough to look past its rough gameplay. me2 i liked the gameplay enough to look past its bad story. ME3 will hopefully balance the two.

i Agree the RPG wise in ME2 was worse then ME1. DAMN i want more of the original squad to have a bigger role in ME3, especially Liara = D

A friend of mine just purchased Mass Effect, so I'll borrow that, finally get Shepard to 60, import that to ME2, replay that, then play ME3. It will be glorious, and I shall spend the majority of my vacation pulling 12 hours a day video game sessions.

For me, it depends on when Mass Effect 3 comes out. It it comes out in November (which I believe it will), then I will hold off and play it later. Considering how there will be a number of great games coming out in the Fall such as SSX4, Skyrim, Forza 4 etc...., I will just play those games and wait for my Christmas break from classes to play Mass Effect 3.

With Mass Effect 2, I found myself not fully being able to enjoy and immerse myself into the game because the semester had just started and staying on top of my school work was a priority. If I wait for the Holiday break (which will be a month), I can take my time and enjoy ME3.

With that being said, if ME3 comes out anytime in November, it won't be til probably the second week of December for when I start to play ME3 for the first time.

I'd install any free DLC, import my ME1/2 char and play it...
...but before I got ME3 (in the weeks or days leading up to its release):

1. I'd load the ME1 intro and ending of my canon Shep's campaign and finish it again.

2. I'd load the ME2 intro and ending of my canon Shep's campaign and finish it again.

I will play it non stop and justify it to my parents as studying why video games can be addictive and what elements are involved. It's my course, so they can't argue. ^-^

I can get away with this too because I'm going into Interactive Media and Game Design.

I will also scream one time.

(I have to buy a new 360,when buying ME3. A custom system would be nice.) Also buy it on PC/PS3. My imports are on 360 and it's broke. Just finished my gaming PC,so no playthroughs thus far. PS3 ME2 Jan.18 Bought. So I'll be ready.

After purchasing it and bringing it home, I shall install it and cross my fingers taht there are no technical issues. I will then download and install any and all DLC I am entitled to (barring any aforementioned technical issues).

Assuming all goes well up to this point, I shall sit on my chair and try to decide if I want to put my canon Shepard through the game first or be a masochist and try out a default Shepard just to see what sort of terrible decisions he made when I wasn't there to guide him.

i'll be in university next year, probably staying in residence, but I'm not playing it on some damn small TV in a dorm room, I'm going to go back home and play it on my big TV at my parents house :D. Once I get it I'll probably stay in my basement for a few days and forget that there is a world outside of the game, lol.

First I will attack the FedEx guy if he doesn't deliver it on time....

Next, I will unwrap it iwth tender loving care, and then run like an idiot around my room with it before popping it delicately into my 360 and hit the power button....

Proceed to get my game girl self on for the next week or so....

If my 360 RROD's any ANY time, I will promptly take out ME3, and proceed to beat the living crap out of my gaming system, curl into a fetal position and cry
