This kind of arguement always falls flat on it's face,
Yes, escape from the real world. More proof that you're obsessed with romances in a video game.Princess_Ozma wrote...
It's not an obsession, it's escapism and it's normal.

I say make it dirty, It doesn't have to be crazy trailer park porn or even show nipple, but if there's going to be anything resembling a sex scene in the game, don't make it dry humping, that's just silly.

But i think Bioware is kissing.................................................................................

Right because i WAS apparantly insulting people... not. All i said is you want romance, look for romance in real life and not get obsessed over it in a video game with virtual characters. I don't see how am i insulting anyone. I just find it odd certain people are crazy over in game romance.InvincibleHero wrote...
I didn't know you could have blue-skinned Asari in real life.Insulting people for what they want in video games as having no real life is just lame.
The thing is, some of the ME1 fanatics here treat the liara/ashley romance as if its real romance and some even went as far as to justify why they think its ok to masturbate to a blue fictional alien. THATS the real loser.InvincibleHero wrote...
it isn't real romance, but it is life for a character they breathe life into by playing said game. It doesn't make them losers seeking vicarous video game experiences to fill their lack of romance in real life. they simply want a more complete role playing experience.

What I'm not getting is what's your issue with it?, in a scene I know of the phrase "my kink is better than your kink" comes up quite often, it refers to people who "think" they are better than others, it's a phrase that would referred to you.SithLordExarKun wrote... That's why we make fun of the romances in this game because........
It just looks too funny to pass up when you have an M rating, and is done up to look
like it could be for E.
I've seen more action on Little Big Planet.hahahahaha

To me video games are like the older Television shows/Movies were things were only hinted at , before TV/Movies matured to show the type of content that's available today(which in alot cases is worse than ME1/ME2 romance scenes.)

I agree 100%LOST SPARTANJLC wrote...
In the end it's all about choice , you can play ME2 and never initiate the romance part.I'm sure the ones that want the romance in the game also experience real life and every experience that comes with it.I don't see the need to belittle someone for wanting a video game to have a more complete experience similar to whats seen in a rated r movie or even TV-14 tv shows.

That said, I still think the best love scene is one that doesn't even involve nudity....

No. But ask any normal human being for their opinion and they would tell you its friggin weird to justify getting obsessed over a fictional blue character to that extent. I don't have a problem with it, im just stating how i feel.DJBare wrote...

''Normal human being'' is pretty vague term, to be honest.
Anyway, if I have to choose between dry humping or not having anything at all, I choose to have none. The romances can be played through without those scenes, sure they add something ''extra'', but dry humping would just make it look so bad. ME2 and ME1 were different, but I thought both of them had the scenes done pretty well.

Many people including myself on here have watched tv shows dealing with these type of mature themes and no one tells us hey go experience real life if you want to understand drugs ,violence , sex , and anything else. But it's a big problem to suddenly have these same mature issues dealt with in a video game.

My whole point is that some people are so obsessed with a romance feature with a certain virtual character and that in circumstances like these, well that its meant for real life. Of course some people get butt hurt over such a tiny remark and get all up in arms.

SithLordExarKun , I get where your coming from , but to each his/her own.My thing is if it were removed fine by me , but I know others would feel cheated with out the feature. My question is why is it ok for tv/movies to deal these type of mature themes and not a mature video game ?

It's not so much the theme as it is the billion threads spawned on these forums obsessing over the love interests. It can't be healthy, and it certainly feeds a stereotype about Bioware fans.

You miss the point. Im not asking for the feature to be removed. Does the feature add some depth to the game? Yes. Should people NOT use the feature? I didn't say that.

Gotcha(and also marshalleck ) , sometimes reading post after post can be a bit much at times. But still they have every right to do so , but I'm sure the ones for the romance have been in some type of relationship before or will eventually pursue one.
I think everyone has their own special thing though , for some it's the ME romance feature for others it could be reading a good book.
