Can someone please explain the skill trees and specialisation thingymabobbies becuase the German article really confuzzled me. Does each character have a unique skill tree and are the specialisations only for Hawke. Like, could I make Bethany a blood mage for example??? I know each companion has their own skill tree name like Swashbuckler for Isabela or something, but could only Hawke be a blood mage or force mage or whatever?
Rogues have the rogue, DW, and archery skill trees
Warriors have the TH and SB trees
Mages have the schools
Each companion has their own, unique specialization that only they can use
Each class has three specializations that only Hawke can use. For example, blood mage, force mage, and spirit healer for mage Hawke.

Right, right. Companions are more restricted than Hawke. In exchange, they get fixed clothing.
Of course, some people would say that's losing something good and wining something horrible. But who knows.

i do like that they're more restricted to a specific fighting style though, it makes me choose a character for any given situation rather than calculating builds for all of them.

Fixed clothing doesn't mean they can't change them, it means they won't be able to wear what Hawke wears. We see Aveline in both armor and her unique leathery thing. They will be restricted to characters tho, like Morrigan's clothes.
Me thinks.

I feel the same way about companions in DA2.I'm not disappointed at all with the new change about the outfits and specialities.nightcobra8928 wrote...
the only thing i'd like the companions to have right now would be multiple outfits exclusive to their models like in rogue galaxy where we had 3 to 4 outfits per character but ah well...

I guess that would make me 'some people.'

By the end of Witch Hunt, the amount of specs you could have was getting quite ridiculous, but I'm not sure limiting them only to your main would do any good. But then again, every character is getting their own special tree...
