SR-2 will still be Shepards ship.. we won't get a new one. In one of the missions EDI mentions "You are my crew..". I think thats a hint that she won't let TIM take her away from Shep.

Yep. And like somebody said, Normandy's an icon of ME like Millenium Falcon. Just imagine if Solo changed his ship every film. I'm okay with SR2, but if they make elevator like that in SR1, i'll be totally sutisfied.

Hated the SR-1's elevator. It just felt like I was wasting time for the sake of wasting time.

The last thing ME3 needs is a brand new Normandy.
The Normandy is like one of Shepards squadmates, it wouldn't be Shepard's mission if he weren't commander of the Normandy so in that regard I can't see him as CO of a brand new ship and it would be completly pointless to destroy the SR-2 and replace it with the SR-3, we've already been through the destruction of one Normandy, doing it again won't have any emotional impact at all and I can't think of another reason why anyone would build a 3rd Normandy if the SR-2 still exists.
I'm hoping for a complete refit. I liked being able to upgrade the Normandy in ME2 although most of those upgrades were external, it would be nice to alter the interior as well.
