This game series has dominated my game play for the past 2 years, I will be quite sad to see it end. However we do have the ME movie to look forward to, and I don't think Bioware will abandon the IP after ME3, but it'll still be sad to see Shepard and his/her squad go.

I am hoping for more Mass Effect games for a long time...its my fav series at this point...of course, I would not mind stand alone games....as meantioned already, first contact war would rock, or focus on other characters

Other devs will learn from Bioware and make their own sci-fi epics. In the meantime you can play Terran X.

I'll be quite sad, because the ME series is one of my favorites. Still, that doesn't mean throw a pity party. I'll move on, find some other Sci-Fi space opera series that will cater to my needs. I would rather have a trilogy of perfect games than a whole mass of mediocre ones that are easily forgetable.

I´m sure there will be others just as long as bioware can do it, it´ll be fine. EA has a tendency to screw up games. I don´t know about you other MOH fans I was ferious. By that time TOR will still be strong I am sure!

With EA history, we will see ME3. It will be good.

Then a spinoff will come out,it will be a FPS or some forced change to the series other than what the designers want it will be horrible. Ratings bad. Huge failure.

THEN EA will give the designers control again.. it will be awesome. But it will not attract much attention due to previous failure. It will get funding cut and release early. Fail.

/Bioware merge with other EA studio that was once good but ruined by EA.

I personally dont see the third game of being the end of it at all, especially now it is coming to the PS3. I think there will be a twist or some open end at the end of the third game, then maybe 6 months after the release of the third game the trilogy will come out in boxset form, then after many internet rumours a forth game will be announced.



For the record I really do not want a FPS mass effect but I wouldnt be surprised if it went that way.

18 Need For Speed Games

14 Medal of Honor Games (Plus 2 Expansion Packs)

12 Battlefield Games (Plus 7 Expansion Packs)

9 Command And Conquer Games (Plus 7 Expansion Packs)

8 SSX Games



And I'm not even counting their yearly sports titles or iPhone games.



I think Mass Effect 4 is a pretty safe bet.

Seriously some people really do need to think before posting such nonsense.

As for what I'll do, probably be playing through the 8 classes of SW:TOR to experience all the lovely storylines they have.

the ME1,2 and 3 series games are too unique.

If there ever be a FPS version i wouldnt not support it at any case.

MMO sounds good, but has to be too good to stay cool...

the ideas about other titles for different characters sound good enough though..!

and yes, a game about the First Contact War sounds epic too.

PS: idk why the implications from some people, but loving a game too much doesnt necessarily mean not having a real life. there are people in this universe that have a lot to do, so they choose to play only a very few games, and they try find whats the best out there for their tastes. ppl playing too much scifi are supposed to be open minded enough to realize that on the other hand

After ME3 we'll get either one of two Square-Enix treatments: A horrendous rehashing of the series with gradually declining quality until Bioware has to make an official apology to fans for screwing up that bad (The Final Fantasy series), or we'll be forever left waiting for a new game that will never come, until fans start working on fan projects of equal epic scale, until EA sends a COD a month before its release, pissing everyone off (Chrono Trigger/Cross).

The cool thing about the Mass Effect Universe is that it's so massive. All kinds of spin-offs could be made: FPS, MMO, Strategy... It's just a matter of time.



Besides, even though the Mass Effect series is my favorite, there will be other games that will come close ( never surpass) the quality of Mass Effect.

Wait is over, it is coming out later this year along with Kotor 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 all in one bundle and you can even play it with your friends if you want as it's multiplayer.

Considering it is being made by Bioware, I really don't understand the hate from fans about SW:TOR.

It is going to be great, fair number of the VAs who worked on ME are going to be in it, including Jennifer Hale as Female Trooper Commander Shepard goes to the Star Wars verse, ok I know she already been there as Bastila Shan, but still... FOR THE REPUBLIC! (she sounds awesome saying that)

Way I see it to some extent, SW:TOR could be seen as a stepping stone for Bioware, using it to work out what would work and what wouldn't for a ME MMO
