Still waiting for Kotor 3 thoughall in one bundle and you can even play it with your friends if you want as it's multiplayer.
Considering it is being made by Bioware, I really don't understand the hate from fans about SW:TOR.
It is going to be great, fair number of the VAs who worked on ME are going to be in it, including Jennifer Hale as Female TrooperCommander Shepard goes to the Star Wars verse, ok I know she already been there as Bastila Shan, but still... FOR THE REPUBLIC! (she sounds awesome saying that)
Way I see it to some extent, SW:TOR could be seen as a stepping stone for Bioware, using it to work out what would work and what wouldn't for a ME MMO
So if MMOs are the stepping stone towards the future template of all Bioware RPGs, does that mean I have to quit being a Bioware customer? Cause I refuse to play MMOs. I find people to be far too irritating to enjoy them, nor do I enjoy the idea of constantly paying a monthly fee to play a game I've already purchased, then feeling obligated to spend all of my free time playing that game because a) If I don't, I'm gonna feel like I wasted money buying that one month subscription, and

I think you misunderstood him, dude. He didn't mean that MMOs are the future of all Bioware MMOs; just that Bioware may well use any lessons learned from SW:TOR and apply them to development of an ME MMO, much in the same way as certain lessons from KotOR were applied to ME...

Well, think about it this way: EA clearly wants to steer Bioware, if not all of their future games regardless of what pies their fingers are in, into Multiplayer territory, and if TOR turns into a financial success then it's safe to say that there's a possibility that most of Bioware's RPGs will be of an MMO design one way or the other. And if that happens, I might as well stop buying their games. They've gone down the wrong path, as far as I'm concerned, with their games as of late.
They went from the easy-to-utilize, customizable Toolset and functions of Neverwinter Nights which has kept the game alive after almost a decade now, with players still creating new content, still playing its FREE online servers, and still having avid fans of the game, to the abyssmally complicated Toolset and functionality of NWN2, to the Toolset that you have to basically know the intricate inner workings of game mechanics to use in Dragon Age.
The graphics have stepped up, but the customizability and functionality has degraded a great deal instead. And I can only surmise that it will continue to become less user-friendly in the user-created content domain with more releases. It's all about the money now. And yes, yes, I know that money was always an issue, but there at least used to be some form of ambition other than moneymaking involved. These days I just see a lot of PR fluff and 'we LOVE our customers, we really do!' banter, with very little to show for it. Then again, it's not really fair to just point that finger at Bioware. It feels like just about every company is doing that now. Capcom pulling publicity stunts with Dante's new look in DMC, and completely altering the concept of Resident Evil from Survival-Horror to 'shoot everything until its dead' Action-TPS are two such occurrances that stand out in my mind.

Secondly Bioware didn't make NWN2, Obsidian did.
Thirdly NWN was purely built for it's toolset/MP capabilities. Dragon Age wasn't, the toolset for DAO was just an add-on. The reason why toolsets generally AREN'T made for games is because it is generally hard to make them 'novice' user friendly. That is why there has never been a Mass Effect Toolset, because it would be downright impossible unless you knew how to make games using the engine.
What Revenant said about my post is exactly what I meant. I find it hilarious when people come into these posts whining about games companies with such preposterous conspiracy theories when all it ever does is prove the poster isn't that smart.
Bioware have been looking to go into the MMO market for years. SW:TOR isn't something that 'just came up' it's been in the pipes way before Dragon Age 2 came out... oh look a Single Player RPG that is being made AFTER they started work on an MMO. One other thing to point out, it's Bioware Austin working on the MMO, Bioware Edmonton is still making Single Player stuff.
How about next time before you make such a complete and utter arse of yourself Gleym you know are writing the truth. Rather than complete and utter nonsense.
