The first person view where everything was an empty maze with walls, and no objects (but you could have creature graphics show up randomly to begin an encounter) and then it broke into overhead turn based mode in battle.
256 color, but it looked awfully close to EGA graphics for the most, 320x240 res.
Those were great games!
You were doing better than me, I was only playing it with 4 colors, none of that fancy 256 color stuff.

I didnt think UA supporte CGA graphics I was sure the box said VGA but maybe you have a different version. Either way the game was pretty pointless to me cuz i bought it, had one friend who played D&D and then he moved.
Thats why I never modded for NWN1, it never occured to me there might be an internet site with people who want to share modules.

It must really be selling well considering it's competing with games like Black Ops, Civilization 5 and Left 4 Dead 2.
Is there anywhere we can see the sales numbers? I'm really, REALLY curious now.
All these new worshippers for the god of Murder... must be having a field day in his demi plane.

In the meantime, let's just be glad of the sales and hope that it might lead to something along the lines of a few more new modders who will make some more cool adventures to play. And in that meantime, keep downloading and playing what's already available and post your questions, comments and critiques here in the forums, where it's "Official!"

In NWN1 you could use GMax to create simple content. Almost anyone can figure out how to make something with it. NWN2 and DA require professional software to make new content. They may not have longevity.

There are some folks that know more about this than I do. But I'm pretty sure that you do not NEED pro software to make new content in NWN2.

You said boobs five times. You must really like boobscasadechrisso wrote...
That depends entirely on the new content, and what you call "Pro". I see a lot of stuff on the vault being made with Blender, which is free, but hell I still can't use it. Then again, one thing I miss most in NWN2 is custom animations, and as far as I know, those require 3DS... and of course someone willing to make them. Big sigh. This community makes stories though, something I don't see much anywhere else. Fallout 3, for instance, has hundreds of weapon mods, texture mods, gameplay mods, boobs, boobs, boobs, a few more boobs, japanese lolitas with huge boobs... but has anyone ever tried to make my favorite companion actually say more than the three lines that adjust her AI? Na... that's the difference between these communities, I bet in NWN2 someone would've come up with companion storylines immediately, maybe a whole module following their storyline for 10+ hours... not just with sexy outfits for them.

"Hey look, its really neat that this other really old game is still kicking."
I can't possibly express my deep and everlasting regret for even referencing the topic of NWN2 longevity. Although, I cannot deny that I am glad that "boobs" has popped up over a dozen times in this thread. That must be worth something.
