I 've noticed this in several different cut scenes. Whenever there's a scene that has my party take out their guns, about half of the time my shep and the squad will pull out weapons I haven't equipped on them.

This especially happens when my shep pulls out a pistol. Ill have the phalanx heavy equipped, yet for some reason he pulls out the weakest version of the pistol (dont remember what its called)

And not only my shep, Grunt will have the super shotgun equipped but pull out the katana, etc etc.

Has anyone else run into this?

It's neglect by the ones making the cutscenes.

Instead of choosing a hardoption of which weapon people should be depicted with, they should have used the current vaiable.

It's one of the flaws in the game, unfortunately, and it really marrs the immesion when playing through the game as anything different than a soldier. :(

I hate this. It is so annoying to see Shep holding an Avenger AR at the start of Freedom's Progress every time I start the game. I am playing as an Engineer or an Adept. I DONT HAVE THAT GUN.

So annoying, I hope this doesn't happen in ME3.

Where does Shepard get that assault rifle? Is it buried up his ass?

They did the same thing with ME (1) to be honest, but then everyone was able to use all four weapons so it wasn't that much of a big deal back then.

I think it has something to do with ME where ever character was able to equip every weapon.  Hopefully they fix this by ME3Image IPB

Hopefully they'll just make it so you brandish whatever weapon you were holding at the time. What I'd like to see is using a shotgun as your wound/kill/threaten weapon, like when Ash KOs Wrex.

I remember it in the marketing campaign: "We are going through a lot of trouble to make your character appear in cutscenes the way you want them to."

Looking back, without the fandom in me, without the glamour of the add campaign- ME2 made a lot of promises, and made good on only a few... it makes unicorns cry ;(

Oh ok, well Im glad in a certain sense to see that it isn't just a glitch in my game, but at the same time sad to see that it happens to others.

And it really ruins it for everyone in terms of playable classes, because even as a soldier you'll have the Phalanx heavy pistol equipped and all of a sudden your shep pulls out the default weak pistol during a cutscene.

wtf and >.> ensues.

Even the soldier gets broken too because you hold a machine gun in some cutscenes.

The other thing I hate is whenever they walk into a room during a cutscene and confront a bunch of enemies, they almost always have their weapons holstered and always walk in like they're on picnic. Seriously.

Yeah I always thought that was incredibly ridiculous.

I always have my gun out during a mission...

Shep: Hay theres a room over there we haven't explored! Cmon everyone! Put your guns away and lets go asploring! Yay!

Enemies: Get them! They don't have their guns out! SHOOT!!

Shep: :crying: But but...asploring?

I can only imagine how anyone with any actual combat training must feel about this method of..."clearing" rooms that Shep and team use haha.
