I haven't played NWN2 in a LONG time. I saw Platinum for cheap which included SOZ so I got it.

After creating a couple of false start characters, I looked for team building advice etc.

I decided to take the female human wizard (LE) and turn her into a Wizard of Thay. I took a duergar fighter for tank (future DD), A gray-orc gifted soul or whatever that cleric is that doesnt memorize spells for healing, and A Yuan-ti Ranger (OM leader)

I clicked on the door to go below decks and got a message stating that  I had magic users in the party that might want to memorize spells. I took the option to check my spellbook. I have level 2 spells in one window and some empty slots in the other window.

The lvl 2 slots were empty, all but 2 of the lvl 1 slots were filled with class freebie spells (color spray etc)

I tried dragging a spell over to an empty slot but it doesn't stay. I hover exactly in the empty slot, I drag and drop *near* the slot etc. to no avail. I also cannot drag one of the memorized spells out to replace it with something I would rather have like MM.

Not allowed to rest in this area so I am forced to go below deck and end up on the beach

I got through the first two fights with just my dwarf and the ranger (with a sling shot). The cleric and mage could cast NOTHING.

My wiz has 18 Int btw.

While I am at it... is there a way for ME to pick my skill distribution on level 1? It seems I am forced to pick a 'package'  and then when I get my first level on ship to 2 I cannot edit the skills forced down my throat to something else.Image IPB

Skills: click on a package and then click "customize". The package will affect what's recommended, but you can still pick.

Memorizing: There's no drag-and-drop involved in memorizing, actually. To remove a spell from a memorized slot (the right side) just click it and it'll disappear. To add a spell to memorize, just click its icon on the left side (spells known) and it will fill an available slot.
