Your posting has gained the attention of the crazy fans,
That which you know as ME3 is still in development,
You have failed, we will find another source

Why are people so skeptical of this? There was NOTHING he said that shouldn't already be expected.

We knew there was more DLC on the way, and people started freaking out when they read the cerberus announcement as if they didn't know. It's the way of the internet. I can't explain why it happens, just that it happens - and when it does we just have to fall in line. :P

It's not that we didn't know already, it's just when it actually happens, it feels good, it's nice.

I'm a car nut, I own a Scion TC. I knew the next model was already being developed. Still, when they finally showed it and started talking about it, I squealed like a little girl.

Just in case it wasn't obvious Shinobi, my last post was just made purely as a joke in response to what Cyberfrog said, I'm all for speculation just as much as you seem to be. It's just with him saying that last line the way he did it just reminded me of THAT speech and so felt compelled to finish it off with a thorough re-phrasing :D

Why are people so skeptical of this? There was NOTHING he said that shouldn't already be expected. All of the details he actually provided I bet everyone are spot on. The only thing you can possibly doubt is his personal credibility. But again, as I said, it's not like he said/revealed anything new about ME3 and he also didn't "drop the ball" on anything in particular.

Everyone stop and think about this. Do you, or do you not doubt his personal credibility? If you do, why? Do you just not believe his statements, or do you think that he is not actually working as NFS PR? If so, how did NeoGAF, fail at verifying his occupation? Let's reach a consensus on this before discussing anything else.

There's no answer to that really. It's just human nature in a lot of people to outright deny things, but I have enough evidence to personally satisfy my requirements.

I personally believe this guy, given what Shinobi mentioned about NeoGAF and all that. And really, like Enigma said, it's not like he revealed anything; he merely stated that he actually saw some of the things we've been speculating about.

Well, I posted this on another forum:

Considering that voice acting hasn't been done, yet for the most part, but there are still animations, and conversations (text to speech program, probably), then that it means that development was around the third stage by December.

1st Stage: Narrative Playable
2nd Stage: White Box
3rd Stage: Orange Box (aeiou £££££ 9999)
4th Stage: Hardening
5th Stage: Release

Then it's safe to assume that the unfinished models for the characters were used. Thus, it could be a hint that squaddies will return in ME3. The last part looks like a cover up as well, why did he say 'But I won't say which ones?' then. Maybe he felt like an ass for ruining BW's surprise?
/addingnothingnew

So, there are some hints, but I think that we can agree that ME3's development progress right now is on the 3rd stage (and by polishing he probably means the 4th stage, btw). What does everyone think about that? Was this too quick? Or too slow?

(Doube posting in order not to mess with the BBCode)

Actually, I might be wrong. There was no voice acting from Meer in the 4th stage either. So it's possible that they were in the 4th stage already by December, though I doubt it. I'd say that development has just entered the 4th stage, though it might still be in the 3rd.

Well someone else might ask the question too, it's not exactly 'polishing' as in fixing bugs and graphics, but proper models, textures, full animations, lighting, camera movement ,voice acting etc.

White Box seems to resemble generic animatics you would see in most cinema extras on a DVD... orange looked like it had the mouth movement and getting basic angles, but no full voice acting... and then hardening is around 75%(or above, it's just an estimate) polished right, and then just more polishing by the end, or something like that.

According to the description (I am not sure if it's right though), when the game enters the hardening stage, it's pretty much in the alpha. And yeah, the voice acting is from a simple text to speech program during the orange box. Fifth stage is probably graphics and bug polishing, the beta.

I remember seeing a little blurb about it in EGM as early as 2006. Basically 2 or 3 sentences about a squad based shooter/rpg being made by the guys who made KOTOR

Yeah, if people doubt that the guy is NSF PR, I think they should state why.

We've stated why we're pretty sure he's legit: i.e. the forum he's posting on required that he verify his identity.

I also agree that he changes his story up a bit to cover his ass when he's realized he may have accidentally leaked something.

That said, It strikes me less as new information, and more as confirmation of what we already *knew.* That at least one squad mate was going to return, that the game is entering it's polishing stage. It's still good to hear confirmation.

Assuming he's legit then, I still take issue with the guy mouthing off like that. Oh well, not my problem.

What exactly does (paraphrasing) "I may have seen a familiar (alien) face" confirm? Some seem to jump to conclusions based on what they are hoping for ME3.

That said, however, I don't doubt that (at least some) former squad mates will be back. In some capacity (that is, not necessarily permanently on the team). What I question is the value of the *finger quotes* "source" and his "information".

The source isn't legit. That's why these are unconfirmed rumours brought about by an unsupported sources. Really, take this with a grain of salt because this 'source' contradicts themselves constantly and in some instances they contradict themself in the same quote.

Common Sense, people.

Use it already, geeze.
