I'm considering doing a soldier or a Infiltrator on Insanity. Which is best suited for Insanity? I'm guesing infiltrator because they have the ability to be hidden and the slowdown when you scope in is very helpful. On the other hand, Soldiers have Adrenaline Rush which is also very useful.

I find that Soldier is a good all around class for insanity, better than the Infiltrator in my opinion.  A good selection of ammo powers and the right squaddies will see you through the worst of it.  Especially if you have access to the Mattock, though the Vindicator is good as well.

Easiest insanity run though by far is the Sentinel, unless your only interested in the above 2 classes.  I think I died once, and it was because I spilled my tea and was more concerned with keeping the new couch clean.

Tech armour maxed out gives you a stupid amount of shields, which don't often go down unless you intend for them too... and when that happens you send out a blast that stuns/shakes enemies in a huge radius and then get an instant boost to your shields.

Frankly it's easy, though not always fun. Sentinel + either Viper or Assault Rifle training = awesomeness.

Cheers. McBeath.

My Shep's also a soldier. Can't say I'm having a breeze on Insanity though. My squadmates die very quickly, even if they're well behind cover and taking potshots. The AI gangs up on them for some reason.

Try to be ahead of them, or order them into cover then advance to a further point.  The enemy AI will almost always focus on you if your closer, allowing your squaddies to debuff the enemies before you trigger adrenaline rush and pop out.  I tend to evolve it so I get a reduction in the damage I take, though that's just me preferance.

The only squadmate I allow to take point is Grunt, just because he's a bloody tank.  Otherwise they are indeed to fragile.

Cheers.  McBeath,

Sorry that this has nothing to do with the discussion but I just don't want to waste these codes. I have two non reusable dr pepper sweepstakes codes for the exclussive ea content armor for me2. If anybody wants one just post yes or no with my name in your post and ill give it to you.

Unfortunately, there is a slight bug with AR and the Mattock. It does not slow down like the other weapons do during the Rush. This makes it tremendously, and obscenely overpowered.

Personally, nothing quite gives you the sphincter clenching, edge of the seat Insanity playthrough than a Vanguard.

@NormNd: Then how about creating your own thread rather than hijacknig someone elses? If you actually have the mental capacity to do so, translate my sig, and you will see how it applies to you.

Engy and Sentinel are pretty defensive and easy. Soldier gets very easy once it's gotten its weapon upgrade, and it benefits the most from the firepower pack. Other classes that used to have a tough time with certain enemies can get by if they take Stasis.

Probably the soldier. It's not as affected by the rock paper scissors as other classes and since gameplay revolves primarily around adrenaline rush it matures VERY quickly if you just dump all your points into AR until it's maxed. You don't need to worry about tech or biotic upgrades, you don't need to worry about your squad other than for an early ammo power boost, and since the soldier is deadly with all weapons even ammo and weapon upgrades aren't as important as you would think they would be.

Every other class in the game takes a lot longer to mature.

I also found the Soldier better than the Infiltrator, even though I usually play both as snipers in ME2 Insanity. However, in my experience the humble Sentinel's the best class on Insanity.

It depends. If you're starting at level one, then it would definitely be the Soldier, but if you're starting a New Game Plus, then it would be the Sentinel.

Fun is a matter of perspective. I think the Sentinel and Vanguard classes are dull and monotonous in comparison to the other classes, especially Infiltrator and Soldier.

Soldier is pretty boring, as for the easiest class part Id say all the tech classes are pretty much in the same difficulty area,

The Sentinel is easiest by far. Of those two you mentioned, I would say they are about the same difficulty.

I think Soldier's easiest. You can max Adrenaline Rush at level 6 and this will be the main power you use the rest of the game.

Sentinel's great later but you don't really shine until shotgun training, at least IMHO

Engineer will surprise you, combat drone does its thing (distracts enemies regardless of defenses) just fine even at level 1 and has a 3s recharge.

Haven't tried it myself yet, but I heard soldier + warp ammo is like cheating.

Early game, the Soldier; but late game, a probably built Assault Sentinel just barely edges it out in terms of ease.

I'd say Soldier or Infiltrator. Edge goes to the Soldier for more durability, but the Infiltrator is probably a bit more flexible. I am usually a die-hard Soldier player since I love shooting things up but the Infiltrator was just as easy to me (almost too easy). I love to snipe (bolt-action rifles are, for the lack of a better term, sexy) and I find it really easy to snipe in ME2 as long as the aim assist doesn't throw me off, so maybe I am the odd man out here. If only I could record off of my 360, I'd make a quickscoping/no-scoping ME2 montage, haha. Not that it'd be particularly interesting or anything.

Anyway I could get one of those codes?

If you have the Firepower pack (and subsequently the Mattock), Soldier is probably the easiest class to play on Insanity, though Sentinel is a very close second, and some would even argue that an Assault Sentinel with the GPS is easier.
