Easiest class for Insanity?

Where as an adept I'd hang back and control the battlefield, as a vanguard actually getting into the fight more proactively I'm seeing 1/4 of the enemies actually spawn. So a 30 min. fight only takes 5 minutes. I'm more surprised than not when everything is just over...

I just finished engineer... now am running a vanguard insanity run... While not easy, it is definitely the fastest. I've found myself charging so much that I get far enough to into the back of the spawns to cut off the number of enemies that appear in a each firefight.

Hehe so true - sometimes you dont even have to kill (not recommended cos is no fun) to pass a map - Like Tali's loyalty mission - The 1st time I accidentally charged to the door and found her dad's body -> cinematic cut scene - no Geth was hurt

I have actually never played Sentinel on insanity. Perhaps that it the easiest to play there. I wouldn't know. Of the ones I have played though, I vote Engineer.

For the easiest I'd have to go with Infiltrator. Using the widow while cloaked one shots almost every enemy. Decent selection of ammo powers and incinerate is always handy. The cloak also lets you escape and regroup if you get overwhelmed.
Sentinel was fairly easy just because Shepard is near impossible to kill once the armor is fully upgraded. I mean obviously you'll still get mowed down still if you stand out in the open like an idiot, but for regular game play they had a hard time just getting my shields down. Great biotic powers with throw and warp and I added reave as my bonus. Overload is great for taking out enemy drones.
Vanguard was fairly easy. I died a lot, I think the reason why was I liked to charge a little too much and would find myself out of cover with 3 or 4 mercs shooting at me all the time. The vanguard obliterates single enemies and I had a breeze taking out the SB. Shockwave and pull were not particularly useful, IMO
Engineer and Adept were easily the most difficult. I'd rate Adept as slightly better than the Engineer. The Engineer is supposed to "control the battlefield" but I really didn't find that to be the case. The drone is nice in that it distracts enemies, but it really doesn't do all that much damage. Your weapons don't do that much damage and you get no ammo powers. And unlike the infiltrator, sentinel or vanguard your class power does nothing to boost your shields or help you elude enemies in any way. It doesn't help that your squad mates are near worthless during some of the most difficult parts of the game (i.e. the collector ship platform). At least with the adept singularity is good for immobilizing multiple enemies allowing you to get some cover if you get overwhelmed.
Anyway that was just how I'd rate it from my playthroughs. I'm sure other people have had opposite experiences.

But it's spammable and works through protection. I guess experiences can vary quite wildly, but I had a very easy time with my engineer, mainly because of the drone.

Sorry that this has nothing to do with the discussion but I just don't want to waste these codes. I have two non reusable dr pepper sweepstakes codes for the exclussive ea content armor for me2. If anybody wants one just post yes or no with my name in your post and ill give it to you.
NormNd Yes i want one pls.

I have played with all classes on insanity a lot and the soldier with mattock, geth shotgun and widow just doesn't need anything more (bonus power, squad, etc.).
Sentinel is very easy too, but needs a ammo power (like warp ammo) to kill more fast, or a energy drain to survive in some situations.
Infiltrator is also very good, but doesn't have much health like the soldier (infiltrator can be very vulnerable in some situations) and you need to train or assault rifle or shotgun for close combat.

I took sniper training and used the Viper as sniper rifle and a battle rifle. Used the Locust for CQC out to medium range. Take AP ammo for bonus power. Tungsten ammo Locust rips armor off husks in like two or three bullets, then insta kill them with throw. Warp is the perfect "soften them up" power, and tech armor makes you almost impossible to kill.

I'm not sure if it's a good judgement of strength, but my Sentinel was able to take down the Shadow Broker on Insanity using nothing more than Assault Armor and his fist.
That fight is biased towards Vanguards and Sentinels. The Shadow Broker can't attack quickly enough to kill you if you stay close to him as either of those two classes and use your class powers on recharge. Engineers have an easy time too.

Warp is also the best if your playing the Adept because it does major damage to EVERYTHING even sheilds (warp does not do that much damage to sheilds with other classes). Warp is also more powerfull with the Adept then any other class with biotics!
Your biotic powers also recharge faster then any other class with biotics. every time I use a power a have to wait about a second to use it again, Its awesome!

Infiltrator with Flashbang is more fun IMO, but also a bit more difficult. A smart use of the Tactical Cloak is imperative.

I know a lot of people discount the Engineer, but the right build can be devastating on insanity. Anyone who has seen my Insanity run, knows I am far from an awesome player, but I Rocked the Casbah on insanity in Arrival with Engineer and Geth Shields on my Blind runthrough. Only died once the entire time, and that was right at the end.
Engineer is the beast!
