I am here to day to announce The Engineering Guild website will be offering support to any Dragon Age modder that needs it and will be producing files aimed at making modders lives easier. Currently we are all in the same noobie boat so support will have to build up over time.
Tutorials will be written and we will start answering questions on our forums as soon as we learn this stuff. In the mean time anybody out there that wants to help with proof reading tutorials, answering questions or writing tutorials is welcome to join us at the guild. We welcome all friendly users.
The Guild is a site especially set up to promote modding and so we just lack Dragon Age content, we have everything else already for that content when we start to produce it. Including a very nice Troll Free forum.
To get the ball rolling I have some details for you.
Here are some links.
Dragon Age Social Site Engineering Guild Group
The Engineering Guild Group.
This group will be used to organize the Guilds own mod releases but will no doubt reflect the Guild site and become a place where you can get help too. Its too early to say for sure how these social site groups will
work but at the very least it will be a place on this site where you can get information as needed in regards to the Guilds activities.
Anybody can join, those who wish to help need only volenteer. There are no ranks at all since it leads to power struggles but if you want a rank, you can have "chief bottle washer"
The group already has 18 members, most of wish know exactly what is coming to Dragon Age having seen me do it for other games previously and have signed up to support my efforts.
The Guild Website.
The Engineering Guild Website.
The Engineering Guild is where most of the work takes place. I make my mods there, we support modders on our forums,éncounrage noobies to have a bash at modding and maintain a writers and voice actors guild for modding teams to use as they see fit. All of which should prove useful for Dragon Age.
Many fine mods for other games have already been produced at the Guild and so the system we use is an established one. It is a site dedicated to supporting modders and mod users so feel free to drop by anytime.
The support for DA modders will be offered via the forum and tutorials and guides will appear on the main
site in the currently empty DA section. The work of building up that support begins today.
DA Lore Fans:
I am also interested in establishing a lore area on the site and would welcome contact from lore fans about this. I have read both books and do enjoy the background to DA so you could consider me a fan of the game lore already.
Final words.
The Guild is a Troll Free Website, whilst we understand modding can often be frustrating and make allowances for it. We can and do ban trolls on sight the moment they reveal them selves. We run a friendly site and friendly forums for friendly users.
