Right so, I have had a look around the forums and I've tried a few things.
I've re-installed the game 3 times via the recommended installation. Each one results the same, it just doesn't install it properly.
So I figured I'd try a custom install. Now, the file size seems right at least.
(11.4GB)
But!
Each time I go to select "play" windows (Using windows vista) just comes up with: "It's crashed, it's stopped working, there seems to be a problem, blah blah. Rinse and repeat)
So, advice, please?
Refusing to even load

Have you had a look at http://social.biowar...6/index/4795299? Does your PC meet the requirements? If yes, please google the exact error message, then come back here.

Look, PC reqs are about as useful in errors as a hammer and nail. If it's the PC you won't be doubt.
More likelly than not you should right-click the file, look through the options and choose to open with different types of options, you know, where it says "run the program in:" and then there are different windows settings. I had that kind of problem before too.
Sorry if it's not too helpful. My computer is in Japanese, so I don't really know what your settings are called.

One of the frequent causes of an out-and-out crash like this is trying to run ME2 on a computer with Intel integrated graphics, which are not compatible.
Certainly there are other possible causes. But when someone posts a crash error without posting either specs, or an acknowledgement that Intel graphics would be a silly thing to try to run the game on, it's pretty standard for someone to ask for specs so we can double-check that.
