Probably a mage. Maybe male, as I played a female mage in Origins. While I'd prefer Bethany, I guess Carver'll have to do <_<

usually i go mages first but this time might choose a rogue or if warriors get reaver for a spec, then a warrior. I want to see what the spells are like and to see what level i get to.
Then when i get the game i'll prob play mage anyway lol.

DW Female rogue most likely. Possibly 2h warrior. I like to melee dps.

Yeah same here. I plan on playing a female rogue that is fairly sarcastic, crass, etc. Would fit along with Varric and Isabela. Bethany is going to have her work cut out for her keeping us alive with heal spellsLe_Saboteur wrote...
I normally play a rogue, and despite wanting to use Isabela and Varric a lot, I'll probably still go with that. I just can't break the rogue habit, they're too fun to play.

I’m going to kick off with a female rogue, since it’s my favorite class, and I am one of the few (I guess?) that are excited about the new rogue animations. I always felt like my rogue would be kicking butt acrobatic style. After that a mage, then a warrior. Then flip it all over again for a male play through.

I was going to roll a male warrior but now I think I'll play a mage.

Male Warrior, I always enjoyed the warrior class. That and one of my favorite moments from Orgins was the glory of the finishing move on the high dragon and archdemon. Hopfully it'll be back in DA2 if not one equally enjoyable to watch.

Male Warrior packing a two hander, because its most appealing to me.
This.
Hopefully they'll bring back the awesome normal battleaxe model and have more merchants sell them. Also, Red Steel and Draonbone need to look a LOT less awful on weapons. I just cannot stand looking at a maul or axe that is just a...big lump of red metal.
Dragonbone should have been an off-white or bleached yellow with black grips. Instead, the Origins version of the Dragonbone Cleaver is just a solid deep red, like it was meant to be painted for use as a Warhammer figurine's weapon.

Female rogue. Always a female rogue first.

Probably a male mage for the sweet weapons and spells.
One thing I wish however, is that
*SPOILERS*
They gave the option of which sibling lived. Personally I would prefer Bethany, but maybe the full game will change my mind.

Female mage or rogue...I still have 3 months to decide, but I don't know if even that's going to be long enough.

To judge the game fairly, I really should play through first with the same character I use for every game the first time.
Male Mage.

Male warrior with a sword and shield. Its pretty much what I allways play, when playing a game for the first time.

I usually play some sort of elven rogue in fantasy games. I really don't like the look of rogues for DA 2 so far and I can't play as an elven character so...if I play DA 2 it would likely be as a human mage or a warrior.

Ooh, so hard... I normally go for rogue first, but if you get a kick-ass rogue companion (I'm thinking of Isabela, of course), then you may as well go with mage or warrior.
For example, I was hardly ever a warrior in DA:O because why would I? I have Alistair, Sten, even Oghren to kick arse for me, so I can go around picking locks and hiding. It wasn't til about my fifth playthrough that I discovered how fun it is to be your own warrior.
So I may go for male warrior first, even though my normal path is female rogue first.

Mage because that's usually my first choice in games. Female because that's what I always play if given a choice.
Can't comment on companion choices arising out of that - so far am not interested enough to care which sibling tags along.

Female 2-handed warrior, as none of my Origins Wardens swung 2-handers (although one of my Orlesians did in Awakening). Since I heard about the AOE damage and faster attack speed I am just itching to mow through hordes of enemies with my mighty greatsword, sister Bethany raining down fire by my side. It will be glorious.

Hmm... Possibly a female mage warrior... But if the warrior class is anything as awesome as Guts from Berserk, I'll go male warrior.

I am very excited to play as a rogue or mage because both those classes have been totally revamped it seems, according to gameplay videos and reviews by different bloggers on the combat. I really love all the classes and I plan to play Dragon Age II at least three times to try each one, but I think I will go with female rogue in the beginning because I really like Bethany and want to keep her with me for the first playthrough.

I did all 3 classes in Origins (mostly as an elf though), so I'll probably do the same with DA2. But my first will be female mage, cause mages finally get finishing skills and magey-ness runs in the Hawk bloodline.

To correct my earlier forgetfulness:
I'll play as a mage because I like to burn and electrocute things. I'm totally mentally stable, though, so no worries about houses burning down or anything, folks.
It'll probably be a female character because I just don't like playing as male characters when I have the choice.
