I think there's a good chance that Illusive man is under the control of a reaper, hence his strange eyes and how he wanted to save the collector base.

So why would he want to destroy the Collectors?

And thats why he ressurected Shepard and built new Normandy to DESTROY that base, which was under Reaper control anyway...c´mon...

I dont know but maybe the reapers would prefer that the collectors die and keep their technology then have the base destroyed outright

So if the reapers wanted to kill the collectors who would be left to build the Human Reaper? Since it was unfinished...

would be cool if he was indoctrinated. A sleeper agent type.

renegade shepard gets similar eyes too, pretty sure they are just eye implants

Psh, the reapers can't really have intended to do anything with Reapy McThree-eyes there. It was a ruse!

They never meant to kill Shepard; they thought she'd be in one of the escape pods. They just wanted to provoke Shepard into fighting the Colelctors for study purposes. TIM revived Shepard because the reapers wanted to study her in said fashion! And they let the Collectors be destroyed for SCIENCE!!!

Thats the only downfall of your theory  Posted Image
Anyway, I can see both sides of it, especially as Mystranna Kelteel wrote, but I think they are just implants/biotics? Tech stuff? Enhancements. But I do see both sides. THE PLOT THICKENS!!

I don't think he's indoctrinated...yet!

He'll try sell Shepard in some way out to the Reapers in return for the human race surviving. I do believe there will be a major showdown between Shepard and TIM either way.

Funny thing: if not for the novels this whould have been an entirely viable speculation, seeing how Sovereign was possibly a "rogue" Reaper.

He's also Miranda's real father, and I have it on good authority that his Quantum Entanglement Communicator doubles as a time machine which he used to kill Kennedy and, worst of all, give Stephenie Meyer the plot outline for the entire Twilight saga.

I found it interesting that if joker is the only one who survives the illusive man doesn't care about commander shepard or the crew just the collector's base.

Wither or not you save the base, I am thinking that the saved base, or wreckage of it will indoctrinate the Cerberus people trying to study it.

To OP: That would explain the suspiciously high amount of Cerberus operations and experiments blowing themselves up. Also releasing something like David from Overlord on the galaxy would lower the organics resistance to the reaping considerably.

no you DO know.  these asinine and idiotic "theories" have been out since before the game released...yours has been brought up before.

yep..it's still wrong.

common sense should explain why..but I'll give you a couple hints.  TIM pays to ressurect Shepard..who the collectors, working for the reapers, killed and WANTED dead.  Then sent Shepard against the collectors.

now if you can't figure out why you're "theory" is asinine and stupid with those FACTS...well I dunno what to tell you...but it would involve a lot of saved time and money on TIM's part.

The Collectors kill Shepard and then TIM brings Shepard back in order to kill the Collectors. This also resulted in the deaths of two Reapers.

Worst. Sleeper. Agent. EVER.

The Illusive man doesnt care about the Reapers.

He cares about having Shep destroy the Reapers so Humanity becomes the Ultima race.

The opening scene with him and Miranda pretty much shows that.

I agree with this guy the toxicconflict guy is just trying to be a troll thats why he is posting these threads he hasn't even thought out his BS. By the way if this turned out to be true it would cheapen the whole Cerberus idea, Cerberus provides a moral dilemma there is not moral dilemma if its a reaper front organization.

Unless hes trying to indoctrinate the galaxies most attractive women one night at a time. I doubt TIM is a reaper agent. besides his best buddy Hackett would of noticed over thier regular lunch breaks together :P
