I was kind of hoping for some thought out answers.

Mass Effect has an amazing story and I'd like to see if these are legitimate plot holes or if I'm missing something. You don't go into a movie or book and say "just go with it", I'd like to see if I'm wrong.

I guess because it's twice as much work for them to design two sets of appearances?

I mean, BW was criticized in ME2 and then recieved some praise for the greater variety in character appearences.

That said, I think you could just spend more time customizing the combat armor.  Maybe we'll get that two appearence system in ME3 since their casual looks are already ironed out from ME2.

No one is saying - at least I don't think no one is - that what Miranda, Samara, Jack, Thane, and what Jacob and whoever else are wearing while on the Normandy is bad. That's great character customization and I couldn't be happier about it with BW.

However when you're doing missions where you lose shields and the only thing protecting yah is spandex? Miranda isn't wolverine she doesn't have an adamantium skeleton or super-regen healing all right? And am I the only one who thinks the slow moving missiles, that move at the same speed of a punch basically, are slow enough to avoid kinetic and biotic barriers?

Anyway same argument as before: marines, pirates, mercs - nearly everything you fight is wearing some form of hardsuit. You're leading a team of commandos, not comic book super heroes, dress appropriately.

"its a game"

"looks good"

or any other reasons like that are simply ways to excuse for lack of creativity. As it was mentioned before bioware has gone to a good length to have some science behind what they do, and simply resorting to sex appeal all of the sudden is BS.

Still no idea why we just couldn't appreciate Miranda's figure while on the normandy and be in awe at her powers while off it as she is wearing some armor. Poor planning and lack of creativity, simply put is called being lazy.

What makes it so grating though is everyone in the first one had full armor all the time.

And it seems odd that your squad is the only ones who havent found full amor as eclipse blue suns and even the blood pack have full amor but your people dont.

Gerrus leave big holes in his for gods sake this mission is the going to be impossible we need every edge but not armor as that would make it easy.

They wanted the characters to have personality the problem is you can’t have much personality shielded heads to toe in a suit like is Jack suppose to show up with a spiked hell raiser type of space suit on? People would think she came out of Kiss or something so BW forgot to give her a suit just take team dextro along they’re always suited and always prepared.

I wouldn't call BioWare lazy, as they spent a great deal of time designing the characters.  Why didn't they spend the time on designing realistic, and good-looking armor, seems a bit odd.  That mod for Miranda in the Cerberus armor is perfect.  I hated her for not wearing armor out onto the battlefield.  And those stupid heels.

Samara, Jack, and Miranda just make little sense.  The whole excuse "because they are powerful biotics with good shields," that's a bunch of bologna.  BOLOGNA!  After those shields are down, it only takes one realistic shot to end their life.  Bare skin (I'm looking at you, Jack) is, as Legion would say, "a structural weakness."  Put some armor on and give yourself a chance.  Even sleezy asari mercs understand this.  Even Grunt, a krogan!, should protect his arms.

Grunt is sleeveless even when he's inside the geth station, lol. I guess krogans have thick hide impervious to deep space.

designing a character skin doesn't take that long, specially when you have so many skins to choose from. Is not as if they are starting from scratch. And after its approved simply slapping one outfit is lazy no matter how you want to look at it. Slapping a code outisde the normandy so that a team member has a onboard outfit or an offboard outfit is not anything different from what they did on ME1.

When you can run 2 miles and suddenly decide to not even run half a mile later. Its called lazy.

It is being lazy man. There is no reason for not slapping some mediocre marine armor on most of them. Doing anything less is called being lazy. Hell we can work out miranda as having some skin thin armor of... high tech... but Jack, Thane, Grunt are just... there is no excuse for them except:
A- sex appeal , just for looks the easier road aka lazy
B- or saving a couple of minutes to concentrate on making the amazin mining feature.... aka lazy.
