Seriously, though, what did Shepard see in the Prothean Beacon?

He thought it had a nice personality and seemed like a stable beacon, the sort he could settle down with, you know?

Because one day, I said, "Shepard," I said, "what do you see in that beacon? Seems like a shady type to me."

"Well it makes me laugh, and it seems to come from a good family and all, and it has a good personality," he said.

"I don't think it's ever treated you right," I maintained. "Seems slightly abusive to me."

"No! It - it loves me! It does!" he cried. "It - it just makes mistakes every now and then, that's all! It didn't hurt, it was my fault for coming near it to begin with! I deserve to be brain-violated!"

Needless to say I have never approved of that whole relationship, and that's all I have to say about that.

Maybe you're right. That messed-up thing did go after Ashley first. Although Liara seemed to enjoy it...

All those visions on Iden Prime and Virmire just corrupted Shepard's mind, and now he just cannot distinguish reality from images of his sick mind.
Even worse: when Cerberus made those eye implants TIM got possibility to show Shepard everything what he wants.

As crowds cheer at Shepard for defeating the reapers, he suddenly wakes up from a simulator. Nihlus says "Shepard was incredible. He recieved a 99% mark on the "reaper invasion" scenario." Shepard realizes that he was still being assessed for being a spectre. FUUU...

This thread is so godam funny....

I also theorize that not only do the reapers not exist, but Mass Effect does not exist.

Therefore this forum does not exist.

Therefore everyone and everything that has participated in this forum is merely an illusion.

Therefore if you are reading this you do not exist.

*HEAD ASPLODES*

Also: Somewhere in galaxy the Turian councilor reads my post and his head also esplodes. We can't forget about him now can we? ...even if he doesn't exist.

WAIT WHAT???

Nope, nope, nope, I said this the other day...

What has really happened is that when we got hit by the Prothean Beacon it incepted the idea of Reapers in our head that Saren had placed for it to do so to whomever found it. Through Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, Shepard has been going through some dream states, where the thought has been further placed into it. Eventually when the Normandy SR1 gets hit by some blast, it'll 'kick' Shepard out of that dream and he'll realise that Xen and Saren have been working to takeover the Galaxy with their Geth forces hence the e-mail from Xen in ME2, she got a bit cocky and had us receiving that message as a 'haha you ain't getting out of here so you won't be able to stop me' kind of thing.

When we get the 'kick' in ME3, we'll have to prove to the Council that Saren has gone rogue and is being assisted by a mad Asari (Benezia), Quarian (Xen) and Salarian (Saleon) and we'll be fighting the True Heretic Geth :D

I don't like to tell such things, but man who you knew as a hero now needs in our empathy and caring. Some people are using his mental disorder for their criminal tasks but we are doing everything to stop this and cure him. And if you want to speed up his curing never agree with him about 'Reapers' or show him those Reaper-conspiracy sites. I know that he can be very agressive in that case but it's necessary part of treatment.

Actually, it IS all a dream. A dream within a dream, in fact. You see, Garrus is actually in our dream, trying to have us fight the reapers, while subtly hinting that I should break up our father's corporation; but in actuality, we may or may not be in Garrus' dream, because it cuts to credits before we see whether the top falls or not. I smell an oscar

That won't work, an idea has already been implanted in our head...
