First thing I am not trying to start a console war here just looking for opinions. I have the first dragon age for my pc and I did enjoy it. However I recently upgraded my pc and can run the second dragon age. Which one would be better to get the game on ps3 or pc?
Dragon age 2 ps3 vs pc

I would say stick with what you had originally, since some options from your savegames in DAO carry over.

It largely depends on two things, in my opinion.
1). Do you prefer a keyboard and mouse, or a controller?
2). How important are mods to you?
I've only played the PS3 version of DA:O, but it sounds like the PC version is excellent. However, I simply prefer using a controller.
They (along with the XBOX 360 version) were all developed at the same time, so there should be fewer differences between the versions, as opposed to last time when DA:O for the consoles was ported.
In the end, it's up to you.

Personal preference. I have DA for both PC and 360, I pre-ordered DA2 360 just because I liked how much easier it was to use potions in DA:O on the console.
I don't know if the PS3 is different in anyway besides having outstanding graphics, so unless you are concerned about how graphically intense the game is (which isn't much to start with) I say stick with the console.

Honestly it just depends on the way you want to play it.
PC version of DA:O did have modding support which allowed people to create there own content (Weapons, quests, gameplay tweaking) of course that can be seen as good or bad depending on what you find or how hard you are willing to search threw all the trash to find the gems. Again also with DA2 it is unknown (To my knowledge at least) if they will release a tool kit to allow modding in DA2.

PC will be the best, but I doubt that DA 2 will have the same benefits from fan made content as Dragon Age : Origin PC.

I agree, stick with the one that has the saves you want to transfer over.

Like others have already stated,go with the one that has your data and stick to it.You'll have the most fun with that.
Same...I don't see it turning out well.AngelicMachinery wrote...

Your OP doesn't make any sense, but I'll say what others have, stick with your original save files.

I have heard the controls are better. I do not care about mods. I don't think I could max on the settings on my pc. I'm really looking for the best playing experience.

i would say stick with the version you have your saves on.
the controls on pc and console will both be good, so control wise you should stick with the one you like better. personally id advise you to use the pc since mouse and keyboard are usually more precise than controllers...

Stick to PC, unless you don't mind your choices from the first game carrying over (or are willing the replay DAO, like what I'm doing).

The choices carry over? The hard drive failed on ps3 and I lost all my data. So now I guess it really doesn't matter.

Maybe I'm outdated with the new, but last time I checked, stuff your Grey Warden did may affect the history leading up to the events of DAO:2. It probably won't lead to stuff like new quests, but DA2 will probably have scenes where characters recall stuff your Grey Warden did in DAO (similar to Mass Effect 2), and how it affected them.

Some do, yes. Some also carry over from Origins, Awakening, the Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt apparently.hannibalizer0 wrote...

Personally, i'd stick with the PC.

PC, not really a choice here.

Nothing from Golems; there aren't any choices in that module and there isn't even an export save.BTCentral wrote...

What it does apparently do is setting up the origin of a certain enemy in DA2 though.

If you're looking forward to the best playing experience, stick with the platform you play DAO on. You'll be able to import DAO save files, so you'll miss out otherwise. You can always play through DAO again and make new decisions to see new possibilities in DA2.
