Is it too much to ask for a happy ending?

Multiple endings.

I would undoubtedly go for the happy ending, but then go to you tube to watch the alternates ;p

ME has always been about choice. I want (depending on all decisions of ME1, ME2 and ME3) a happy ending where Shepard and co live and the galaxy is saved and one where the Reaper win and all galactic life is destroyed; as well as everything inbetween.

I really want a happy ending. I would hate it so much if it did a DA:O type ending were Shepard dies to save the universe or can do some evil/renegade option to save himself and the universe.

I want fallout style endings, ie a specific ending for every character and location. But yeah, a happy ending will be nice.

I would personally prefer something like Dragon Age. Some endings were happy, some endings were best for Ferelden as a whole, but all of them were bittersweet to a degree which I loved. You could get a good ending, but the game demanded some degree of sacrifice. I find that much more powerful and engaging than getting a 100% happy ending where nothing bad happens to Shepard or anyone on the crew, everyone is happy and you never had to make a difficult decision.

I suppose the happiest ending in Dragon Age was 'Redeemer' - two of your companions who had been there from the start left you, but your Warden lived, a villain redeemed himself, and you didn't have to unleash something big and scary onto the world to do it. (unless you romanced Alistair, in which case you were screwed :P)

Omg I want a happy ending so much. I'd like Kaidan to come back from the dead, and Jenkins, and Fai Dan. And then Saren will pop up and say "Remember that time I shot myself lol" and Sovereign will go "They rebuilt me and I started taking some anger management classes, I'm doing pretty good now, they've got me using creative outlets and I'm taking a pottery course."

Then all the fishies I lost will come back to life, and Navigator Pressly will return them to me in a water-filled baggie, saying "You know, they're not all the same species of fish, but I love them all equally free of species and they all get along, even if they did fight against each other in the First Fish Contact War".

And Jack and Miranda will say they're taking a rock climbing class together, and Jack will say she's only destroyed the rock wall three times in anger when she couldn't find a handhold, and Jacob will finally be talking about himself and his feelings and admitting his favorite color is blue. Thane and Garrus's mom will be having an "I Survived" party to celebrate their miraculous recoveries from their diseases and Xen will break down in sobs and confess she's just cold toward the geth because her Easy Bake Oven was destroyed as a child and she couldn't use geth parts to repair it.

7.2/10

While being phonetically correct and original, I felt this particular piece lacked the conviction and clever prose the author has demonstrated an ability to use in past works.

I believe that Bioware would provide for us multiple endings, depending on the choices the player made in all three games. On a side note it would be great to see a truly dark ending. For example Shepard dying and remembered for being a manipulative and brutal individual throughout the galaxy.

How about a graphically explicit ending about Shepard surviving and being a manipulative and brutal individual, bringing the galactic civilizations to war and ultimately self-destruction of organic life in the galaxy without any reapers to help it?
