Who were your least favorite enemies in the Mass Effect series, and why?
I'll start: My least favorites were Sovereign/Saren (took me forever on my first playthrough), Scions (owned my *** on Horizon the first time) and Abominations (blew me up whilst trying to snipe Scions)

The human reaper, but not because the fight would be too hard. <_<

HUSKS. Followed by HUSKS. Followed by creepers. Followed again by HUSKS. I think you get the picture...

Scions - blasted things

Saren/Sovereign - my first playthrough only though. It took me so many tries I actually gave up and started ME2 without a save file. Then after some advice from a friend - went back and managed to kill him. What a marathon.

Human reaper - all that dodging and weaving - its an annoying fight

That one vorcha in Garrus's recruitment mission. THAT VORCHA NEEDS TO DIE A THOUSAND DEATHS.

I hate Husks, mostly for the fact that they seemed to travel in packs of a 100. And I never remembered to pack the right heavy weapon before going on those missions.

Mass LOKI mechs, most notably in Freedom's Progress, Jacob's & Garrus's loyalty mission, and the N7 mission where you have to shut down a rogue VI. They're the only enemies I find really annoying - because there's no GREAT solution against them.

They are Synthetic, but they have Armor. So Disruptor Ammo/Overload/Energy Drain alone won't work well, but Incendiary Ammo/Incinerate/Warp/Reave alone won't work well either.

They come in hoards with rapid fire weapons (Shuriken), pinning you down in cover.

But you can't stay in cover for ever, because they never take cover keep advancing on you like mindless idiots.

But you can't rush in and engage them in close quarters (like against Husks) either, because they have this electrical stun attack (which is triggered whenever you're in close range AND when they die) that staggers much, much worst that the Husks's melee.

So you try to snipe them as fast as possible, but you can't because there's just too many of them and not enough Sniper ammo.

So you try to use an automatic weapon (SMG/Assault Rifle) but that leaves you out of cover for two long, letting their crossfire of 12 Shurikens which never run out of ammo burn out your shields in a split second.

Even combo AOE attacks won't work. Incinaration Blast => Area Overload/Warp Bombs can kill of a group of 3 or 4 in spectacular fashion, but look there's another group coming up right around the corner!

They also seem to have the worst kind of infinite respawns of all enemies.

So, yeah. LOKI mechs. Not tough, but definitely hella annoying. There's just no good way to kill them fast in large numbers. Flashbang works for a few seconds, but Insanity power duration penalty really screws you over.

Yeah. I HATE LOKI MECHS.

This is where being a biotic god(dess) comes in handy!

My theory is that the accuracy boost that Insanity difficulty gives enemies translates into a much more dramatic improvement for LOKI's, as their weapons are naturally inaccurate.  Two LOKI's take my health down a lot faster than two ordinary mercs with crappy assault rifles, for instance.

I like the challenging enemies like the Praetorians, Donovan Hock, etc. What I hate are the vorcha, not because they're difficult to fight, but because their voices are ANNOYING. Their sub-human intelligence and poor grasp of language is just obnoxious.

Husks are awesome fun! They nailed the atmosphere of being swarmed by a pack of zombies who want to eat your brain.

Now husks plus scions, that's something else.

Replaying Mass Effect 1 has made me think, did they like, reverse-nerf the Husks in ME2? They seem a lot wimpier here in the good ol' days

ME1: geth sappers, batarian engineers (BDTS), rocket drones, immunity abusing krogan.

ME2: Fenris mechs and klixen. I really do not like them.

I'm finding it easiest to flag an unfortunate squadmate ahead to draw out his fire.  Still, though, that wall on the right has the annoying tendency to absorb powers passing within 3 feet of it.

I hate Husks to bits. I loathe them in fact. I'd had enough of them in ME1 and then they had to be in ME2 as a fairly common enemy. And I get the sinking sensation that they're going to be in ME3 again as well, possibly in greater numbers than before.

There are more than enough games with zombies and zombie-like enemies in them as it is these days, we don't need them in Mass Effect too.

People had trouble with Husk-Saren?

All you need to do is use lift and than shoot.

That's it.

It's seriously one of the easiest boss battles I've ever come across.

i absolutely hated the final boss the human/reaper hybrid too much like the robot mutant hunters in xmen. i think given more time they could have made  a more appropriate final boss
