I'm on the Steam NWN2 Platinum (from the sales)

So I failed to destroy rocks with the blast globes to get to the Orc Cave hideout ...
- Playing whilst tired and haven't saved so often, go back to previous save with Callum the Dwarf having just given me my mission (quest listed, and previously walked through to caves), but neither Well nor Caves are on the map.
- Save game before that has Well quest but no Well

I don't want to go back three hours, through all the Tyr dialogue, and the Moire House to be given the quest again to reset the map ...

Anything else I can do?

This isn't the first time this has happened, any time I save just before changing zones seems to be effected.  (but thats my save habit, about to load, then save)
