My main Warden is a female mage, Urania Amell. She had mixed feelings about the tower. To her it was a gilded cage or sorts, but it was also home. She kept mostly to herself and her studies, and therefore was thought to be a bit snobbish or aloof by the other apprentices. She also had incredible patience, which made her both a formidable mage and able to tolerate Jowan as a friend. All that said, she was proud to be a mage and Duncan was forced to conscript her. Urania didn’t want to be a Grey Warden, but burden as it was, it gave her a freedom she would not have had otherwise.
class: Mage
Specializations: Arane Warrior/Shape Shifter/Battlemage(Awakening)
Dragon Age: OriginsUrania Amell was a good mage and always tried to do the right thing as her actions would speak for mages everywhere.
Lothering: She spared the bandits outside the camp, but not before taking all their money first. She enlisted both Leliana and Sten to her cause, though she was hesitant with both at first. She beat Logain’s soldiers and sent them packing w/ a message to their master, “She was coming for him.”
Stone Prisoner: Tricked Demon, and saved little girl. Shale was recruited as a companion.
Warden’s Keep: Killed the Demon Sophia. Spared Avernus to continue is research ethically. Drank the blood taint potion to add to her arsenal of powers.
Circle Tower: She sided w/ the mages and killed all the abominations, but let the blood mage go. Irving and Wynne both survived.
Redcliffe: Connor was saved w/ the help of the mages and all members of the militia made it through the battle. She herself went through the fade. After the events she asked that Jowan be given mercy, but it was out of her hands. He was taken to the Circle Tower. Found Sten’s sword.
Urn of Sacred Ashes: She killed Kolgrim and his followers, including the high dragon and made it through the gauntlet. She took a pinch of the ashes and though it was a difficult choice, allowed Genetivi to spread the word.
Crow Ambush: She spared Zevron, and enlisted his aid in fighting the Blight. He later helped her when she was ambushed by Talisien.
Flemeth: Killed Flemeth per Morrigan’s request. She and Morrigan had become “friends” by this point.
Orzammar: Dwarven politics befuddled Urania and so she used her best judgment and placed Harrowmont on the thrown after destroying the anvil. After seeing the brood mother, she rethought the necessity of a “Calling” in her later years.
Brecilian Forest: The werewolves were cured and the Lanaya pledged that the Dalish elves would come when called.
Denerim: She hardened Alister, killed Marjolaine, rejected the Crow’s offer, killed Howe’s guards at the Pearl, cleaned up the alleyways, killed the blood mages, talked Ser Landry out of a duel, did a few of the mages quests, and delivered the box the Red Jenny.
Arl of Denerim Estate: Here, Urania killed Howe, freed the boy being tortured, and all the other prisoners, w/ the exception of Vaughn as he had caused the elven uprising. She left him in the dungeon. She saved the Queen w/out further incident and surrendered to Ser Cauthrien.
Fort Draken: Alone in the dungeon, Urania charmed the guard and stole his key, freeing herself and the man in the other cell. She killed the two mabari hounds, and the two guards, but posed as a Fort guard and left through the front door w/out further incident.
Elven Alienage: She killed the demon in the orphanage, and freed the elves in the hospice. She later killed Caladrius and freed Valendrian and the other elves.
Landsmeet: Urania made Loghain look like a paranoid, power hungry fool and killed him in the duel. She persuaded Anora and Alister to rule jointly. Note: Urania saw the logic in sparing Loghain, but Alister would have none of it and to her mind Alister had to be king. Though she had no love for Loghain, killing him was not an easy choice.
Endgame: Though the thought of Morrigan’s “dark ritual” sickened her, Urania saw the logic in it. Alister had to be king and there was no way she would let Anora rule alone. So, she persuaded Alister to bed Morrigan and would deal with the consequences later. The final group consisted of her, Alister, Morrigan and Sten. Urania killed the archdemon and as a boon asked that the Circle Tower be given its independence. Urania remained in Denerim w/ her lover, Leliana.
AwakeningKilling an archdemon was a simple goal. Kill the big bad dragon and go home. Ruling over a land was not so simple and Urania was out of her element. Still, she viewed it as a duty she would not shirk.
Vigil’s Keep: The keep and her army were upgraded to the best standards possible. The deep roads access was shut off, hopefully keeping out the darkspawn for decades. Anders was conscripted into the Grey Wardens. Orghen’s offer to join was not rejected. Natanial Howe was originally let go w/ all his belongings, but was made a Grey Warden upon his return.
Wending Woods: Velanna’s offer to join the Grey Wardens was reluctantly accepted.
Kal'Hirol: The tablet honoring the casteless was brought back to the Keep and Sigrun was made a Grey Warden.
Blackmarsh: Sided w/ Justice and destroyed both the Baroness and the Spirit Dragon. All tears in the fade were closed. Justice sided w/ the Grey Wardens.
Amaranthine: Anders was saved from the Chantry, Sigrun made amends to her friend from Orzammar, the blight orphans were given money, drink, and the chantry book and the smugglers were all rooted out. The vast majority of the Keep’s military guarded the city instead of the land. Eventually, during the final battle, Amaranthine was protected and the Keep was left to its fate.
Dragon Bone Wastes and the endgame: Velanna , Orghren and Sigrun accompanied Urania on the final battle. The Architect was too vague in his reasoning to spare the darkspawn and so he was slain as was the Mother.
The Golems of AmgarrakUrania accompanied Jerrik Dace on the mission to find his brother. The harvester was ultimately destroyed, but a slew of other harvesters were let loose before the final cave in.
Witch HuntAfter a farily short journey across Ferelden, Urania met w/ Morrigan once final time. The two argued, debated and even shared a laugh. Urania offered to accompany Morrigan on her journey, but the witch declined. The two parted as friends and Urania went back to oversee the rebuilding of Vigil’s Keep.
Ultimately, the events of Amaranthine and the death within the farmlands became overwhelming and Urania left the Keep, naming a slightly more matured Orghen as the new Warden Commander. She reunited with Leliana in Denerim. Where the two went from there, no one knows.
