Actually, I've thought about the love interest issue and maybe it's not so unrealistic for Sebastian to be romanceable.  This is for one sole reason: he is the only human male party member revealed so far who isn't a direct blood relative to Hawke.

Thoughts?

That is true, but DLC characters kinda have a track record for being off limits when it comes to sexy time. There's also more characters to be revealed so, I think the chances of Sab being a LI are slim to none....though as I've said many times that's never stopped anyone...

The graphics are still a bit on the bad side.

The graphics are not as bad as everyone says imo. I mean if you zoom in on Fenris' face (he is the only one with such a close shot) the texture is really good. And the cinematics are great too, Seb points at the paper, the woman lifts the paper, and he shoots an arrow thru it! In Origins, that wouldn't have happened...

I really do believe Origins is more detailed then this. It's not as vivid or colorful, but is surely more detailed.

I like the style, but the environmental textures are just awful.

The texture might be good to you, ankuu, but the companion faces seem to be wiped of any personality. This guy could be any nameless npc, and shows about as much personality on his face.

May not be fantastic graphics (sorry to be harsh, unlike some I want to like this game), but on the whole it does look better than Origins.

But how would I do that? Show me.

All Talimancers are like "OMG, I love Tali so much <333. I wish I could have sex with her. Check out my fan art!", capitalize on that, you really need to check the Tali fan thread lol, sometime I just go there for a good laugh :P

I wouldn't say the graphics look bad. They look clearer, more detailed, and more vivid. I'd say I see a vast improvement, especially in character movement and animation. But the faces look cartoon-y to me.

Characters look better I won't deny it but at the expense of the environments, they simply look dull and flat, I guess they haven't tessellated them yet but still, Bioware isn't known for the best graphics out there but ME2 was pretty darn good.

Also not grahpics related but the armor looks....creepy white armor

It's such a shame this edition isn't making it's way to Steam. I'm still wary of the direction this game is taking, but that accent makes me want this character enough that I'm willing to preorder. Unfortunately, I'm getting the PC version, and my PC games come from Steam. :crying:

The Origins companions may have more personality to you due to you recognizing them, and thus associating their faces with certain character traits.

ME2's hair looked worse than DA2's hair...the female hair looked like it came from some of those dress up games.

If he isn't a love interest (and I believe it's highly unlikely he will be), remember folks, there's always fan fiction.

I really want to like it, too, Cyberfrog...shoot, I have a brand new monster computer ready for it (which will be complete once the radeon 6990s come out). I really really hope these pictures are not indicative of what they will be in the game...blank faced doll faces will be a real disappointment.

I'm not even going to judge the graphics of this game. When I begin to play it, I will either feel they are good, or feel they are underwhelming. Hell, I may even feel indifferent.

But I will NOT use graphics to deter my wanting this game.

why is he dlc.. dont release the game prematurely

He comes with the SE if you preorder and get the upgrade.  If I understand correctly you will be able to buy him later if you buy the standard game for $7 (USA currency) or whatever points.

Just go to DA2's home page and read the information.

If I'm not mistaken he becomes a full-time companion and I speculate he could become a love interest.  I don't see why not, dlc aside.  I think him becoming a full companion would change this status.

I have to be honest.  I think I'm more interested in the princes's story and Fenris's story than my own Hawke's at this point.

HerrUhl, DA:O faces are mostly not blank doll faces.  This companion is.....a blank.

I don't suppose anyone has said what version of DA2 the trailer was made from? in other words was this done on the PS3/360 or the PC (at low/high specs), because in DAO the graphics difference was pretty big between the console and PC versions.

But still, I like the character so far, I just hope they'll get round to unveiling the mages soon.

Chaia, that's a good point, because it does look like DA very low rez *will keep fingers crossed that's the case*

I'm kind of glad I played on the console, the graphics don't look all that different to me... outside of a few really ugly looking facial creases in DA:O that really could have used some work. I've never been good at differentiating what people consider good or bad graphics anyway... perhaps this is more of a blessing than a curse.

For those who were curious, I wrote the Dwarf Commoner, Orzammar and the Deep Roads, and some early bits of the Landsmeet for Origins. And Bethany. And some guy they haven't announced yet. And a lot of mage plots. Howdy.

These are a few of my favorite things... in the Origins game that is. :P

Wouldn't more people buy him if he was a love interest?
