If you want to find out if Sebastian's a love interest, you'll just have to pick all the flirt lines and see what happens...

Wait a second! There are flirt  lines?

*tries really hard not to get her hopes up*

I recall a dev saying a while back that there are designated 'flirt' lines (complete with unique flirt icon, heavens knows what that is). Presumably ths was done to stop people falling into accidental romances, as happened a lot in Origins.

You can join the club of anticipating individuals; we wait with baited breath.

The flirt icon looks like this: <3 It's also documented in the manual.

Of course, it could just mean you're going to get your sorry little ass rejected. Which is always nice. :P

Why has no one pointed out the official description of him yet?

"The Exiled Prince
" introduces the noble archer Sebastian Vael, with players joining him in the middle of his quest to avenge the brutal murder of his family. Sworn to the priesthood as a boy, Sebastian is forced to re-enter the viper's nest of princely politics when his family is brutally murdered, leaving him as the sole surviving heir. Banding together with Sebastian and his unshakable loyalty and excellent aim, players will choose to either avenge Sebastian's murdered family to reclaim his title or direct his holy vengeance on their enemies in Kirkwall. In addition to this action-packed storyline, players will also be able to enlist Sebastian as a follower throughout a majority of Dragon Age II."

It clearly points out his noble origin in kirkwall and that he's essentially part of the priesthood which would explain why he is talking to the Grand Cleric Elthina about the revenge of his family.

Here's the link:http://www.escapistmagazine.com/contests/register/DragonAge2

i thinks it's more that his enemies are now stationed in kirkwall rather than sebastian originating from kirkwall.

That's what I thought from the video....it's not that Seb is FROM Kirkwall, but that's he's there visting/looking for the people in Kirkwall/Free Marches that killed his family.

I sure hope it's not like this:
Hawke: Image IPB "So Sebastian, the stars are out..."
Sebastian: "Go help Varric prepare dinner. I need to find those assasins" *walks away*

Male Mage Hawke, hello varric (whatever the starting line will be)
Varric: Hawke
Hawke: so how is the weather going?
Varric: looks like it will be good weather for a fight, what do you think?
Hawke: (accidently presses a on the Image IPB option) Varric, will you marry me
Varric: ...Image IPB

I'm sure many people feel the same way. I'd be interested in seeing it done just to what it's like. Surely someone finds American accents exotic in the way North Americans see European accents.

Not sure about exotic, but I am southern and have an accent, I have a German friend who makes up excuses to have me say certain words. So if nothing else, some find it amusing or interesting.

 I think this is my favorite post of the day.

I'm more worried he'll be hatin' on a mage Hawke. <_< Sort of a mood-killer to hear, "You there! What are you doing out of your tower?"

I (English) happen to quite like the southern American accent. A lot of people find it comical though, it is true.

So, instead of the bonus character being a DLC bonus with the game as a form of unintrusive anti-piracy measure like in DA:O and ME2, instead the DA2 one is only free for the limited edition?

To the people who think things like "companies cut content to sell seperately", this will come off as blatant money grab. I don't get the logic behind this change Bioware...

Also, if this guy is the REALLY SPECIAL party member worthy of being seperated into DLC then I weep for want of halfway decent companions. Ex-Noble Archers do not equal Shale, or Zaeed.

It clearly says he is of noble origin and that he can "reclaim his title [....] in Kirkwall".
Either way it begs the question how can such a character be not important to the overall story of kirkwall but a optional extra?

Hah. That would be neat.

But in all honesty, I don't think priests are encouraged to go on quests of revenge. He's probably already breaking quite a few of his vows.

I don't think Shale/Zaeed was put in has an anti-piracy thing. I think it was put in more as anti-used game thing.

I'm originally from MN, my European friends and friends from the South of the US always ask me to say 'bag' I guess it comes out sounding like beg.

I was under the impression that only women could be priests as 'becoming a priest' means becoming a bride of the maker. Outside of the Imperial Chantry.

I think he would actually be a brother.

Edit: Like Leliana, his fruit would not be forbidden.

EDITED:
So he's from the Imperial Chantry?

Umm the Black Chantry?

(Isn't the White Chantry the one overseen by women?)

Must go bone up on the Chantry info.

That's what I call my nephew who shares the suddenly. And suddenly I feel a lot weirder about wanting to see a romance with this character. :pinched:

Since I call him Seabass, I nominate C-bass for my personal sanity. :P
