I guess, already preordered the game was just hoping they would hold out on the recolored armor for abit. (Like show us all the eye candy armor and surprise us with the recolored stuff after we got the game). Ah well.

Wow, there seems to be a lot of complaining going on in this thread. He looks pretty awesome to me. The comment about him sounding like Shrek made me LOL, tho.

Also, I'm curious: Do we actually know that he's a rogue and not, say, a warrior? Warriors have archery as a talent, as well, you know.

They did in Origins but don't anymore.  If he's a warrior but warrior PCs can't equip bows, that's just asking for nerdrage.

Which means they might just do that...

Looks like it uses the same model in parts, like the collar and cowcatcher part, but it's not the same (and you'd be talking about a retexture anyway). It's probably composed of model pieces from several armor sets, like in Origins and a zillion other games.

Just from the little I've seen so far, Sebastian Vael reminds me of a cross between Salvator Aurelius (Magister Trilogy by C.S. Friedman) and Oberyn Martell (George Martin).

The build/look of the model reminded me of Martell, combined with a few superficial character traits in the video (also the word "viper" in the paragraph description just made me think of Oberyn). His story and motives though more match Aurelius.



Again, it's based on a very limited piece of information, he just reminds me of a cross between those two characters.

Indeed. Sebastian has a completely unique model, though there might certainly be some design elements which are similar to other kinds of armor.
