Does Sebastian have anything to do with Saint Sebastian? I apologize if this has been discussed before. St.Sebastian was tied to a pole and shot with arrows for his beliefs. He was a commander of an army and is a"military martyr" and a "soldier saint".

My art history class drilled him into my head and I just thought I'd bring him up. St. Seb was from Italy though. ;) I'm pretty sure this is a coincidence but it never hurts to ask. Patriciachr34 mentioned this many pages ago but it was ignored.

I have a feeling I will really like this character. In the DLC trailer, he reminds me of a darker, tougher version of Alistair. I get the sense that he's going to have quite the story. Now... I wait for the game *sighs*

May the Maker watch over you ;)

1, If he's a rouge, then I doubt he's literally stronger then Alistair. 2. Besides the noble born part, he seems nothing like Alistair.

Sebastian has full dialogues and a follower approval arc, just like the other party members.

Awesome, thank you!
It'd be cool if Sebastian were the m/m LI Image IPB

That would be really cool, if the f/f LI get some hot like Isabellea I think  m/m LI should get someone hot like Sebastian.

By tougher, I meant personality-wise. Alistair was like a gentle giant, a tank without doubt, but his personality was soft. I think Sebastian is following a similar storyline, being an "exiled prince" and the "sole heir to his throne", but from what I know he has a much darker past than Alistair ever did. He's more "hardened". Then again this is just IMHO. we'll see when the game comes out what he's really like now won't we?

i hope he is a romance option (at least bi?), i mean so far.. there aint any hot male potential romance options. Fenris doesnt really do it for me ... Varric ... i don't know.

Keep in mind Im anticipating relationships with NPCs also... so you never know. And all characters haven't been discovered yet *crosses fingers, Anders*

He's the Male version of Leliana. Both are archers by default. Both are rouges. Both have a peculiar accent. Both have some sort of affiliation to the chantry.

He IS the M/M LI for Hawke.

It surprises me that people think of Alistair as soft. Someonce referred to him as being anti-violence in another thread, which isn't the case at all. He has a poor self image, yes, and defers to others until hardened, yes. He puts honor and duty above himself, yes. And he'll suck up behavior from the warden that he disapproves of for the good of the fight against the blight, that's absolutely true. But soft? Only if you think displaying emotion and feeling grief is soft. He'll cut you a new one with sarcasm as his weapon every time you do something he disapproves of. He stands his ground at Landsmeet, hardened or unhardened. He's really not soft at all. He just puts himself dead last.

Because people don't like seeing male characters display emotion...Thats what I think people's problems are with him Image IPB if it ends up true then I find that stupid and that person really need to fix their views

He looks like a good addition.  Love the armor.  I would certainly NOT romance him.....well, unless it was cold...then maybe...just a little ......wait what??!   i mean hell no. Back to killing things.

Lol! Sebastian and Fenris seem like the clear male romance options to me, if they're willing to make one of the romances DLC, which would irritate the heck out of people. No idea what they intend for the female romances, except (obviously) Isabela, and she isn't my cup of tea. Anyway, Sebastian seems interesting.

And he really enjoys a good fight, a very orgasmic, "Oh,YES!" is one of his standard battle cries... Soft? In your dreams.

You know what is great?  in all my years of playing RPGs (and there are a few of them) I have never seen a widespread swooning over a character.  Alistair is hands down the best made character in a game ever.  Hats off to Bioware.  Hopefully There will be more of the same in DA2.

I wouldn't irritate me if it meant Sebastian was a romance.Image IPB

Yeah, I know we don't know anything about him yet, but he piques my interest.

I wonder around what time his quest will open up? Any word on if his quest is early in the game?

I hope he shows up before half-way through the game. That really peeved me about Zevran. Of course I'm going to romance Alistair when the other guy takes two whole main missions to show up! Alistair had a heck of a head start.

Re: Alistair's softness. He is soft and that's just the way I like him. I can't bear to harden him. It's like pulling the stuffing out of a teddy bear and filling it with rocks. :(

Perhaps you can soften Seb as opposed to hardening him? Yes,yes, and softening leads him to being more emotionally vulnerable..and that leads to...

Well you get my drift. I'm hoping he's optional for both m/f and m/m I'll be the happiest person if that were true. Ahhh!

I always got Zev after 1. I always went and picked up oggy or wynne tho. I don't think the other main missions spawn him. In fact I recall someone doing redcliff/elves and then the urn and he still did not show up.

I've heard it was two, maybe it is a specific one. I always did Brecilian then Redcliffe, didn't finish Redcliffe because I went to the Circle to get the mages' help, so it took forever. When I finally decided to give his romance a shot I downloaded a mod to get him right away.

Anyway, I hope that's not the case with Sebastian. Hopefully he'll be like Shale, you can pick him up right away if you want. And I will. :D

Sebastian seems very interesting. It's going to be hard to pick who is in my first playthrough, with so many awesome companions to choose from :)

It would be fantastic if we could romance him, but, I won't hold my breath since he is DLC.
